as plants like to grow, its best to have a light that you can adjust daily to within 25-55-mm of the plant tips
many Aussies are now growing in those shitty tin garden sheds you can get for $200+
avoid using the tin roof and use a sheet of that see threw corrugated plastic does well,
and cut a hole for venting with an insect mesh to keep bugs out
now the solstice has passed lights will be required to keep any plants in veg

Bunnings is the Aussie version of the Home Depot in the USA

ps should that inverted plant be alive
rinse it off with warm water and place under some light
Hey @vostok recently force flowered an outdoor plant by taking it inside for 12 hours overnight. With the solstice passed in OZ can I stop pulling it in and out or must I wait till nature reaches 12/12.
It's either Lemon Skunk or a strain called Crystal.
Much appreciated.

No one's going to be able to tell you how your plant will react. It might continue to flower it might reveg.. that 12 12 rule is only for indoor. Since you already put it on that schedule I would just stick to it.. I wouldn't risk it.....

Yeah that looks upside down in my opinion no expert here just another new Aussie grower :) good luck hope she recovers, Although she does not look to good :(

I can happily say with excitement that our babies have really shot up since being flipped! :) Now we are trying to figure out where to go from here - we would love to get a tent but that's not an option at the moment sadly and we don't know how long we should keep them in the mini green house..

Oh that's great news, good stuff guys! Yeah I was looking at tents and what not but I've actually just made a real basic wardrobe/cupboard set-up and got a couple seedling which actually look like they will sprout tonight/tomorrow morning as I can see the seeds sitting on top of my growing medium. I'd be interested to see how your seedlings go from here on up :), post progress photos when your able to!

Is this your first grow? Either way, good luck on your growing endeavors! ^_^ My partner has made a wooden box with some lights fluorescent fixed to the roof but we are trying to see how to improve our setup. Is this height normal for seedlings? I've posted in another post but no response as such and I'd rather correct it sooner than later if damages can't be fixed :/

To everyone saying dampening off your are wrong. Its beneficial fungi. Kill it if you want but it is not a bad thing I get it on just about all my seedlings because I use compost rooter cubes. My rule with fungus if it isnt black or smells like rotting I leave it be, just got 10/10 blue dream x g13/hp and this was on just about all of them, if it was damping off wouldn't they all be dead;)

Yeah this is my first grow, I done a little bit of research before I started growing to try and make it a little more successful but I have so much more to learn I only know some of the basics. That box looks fine in my opinion, once again I'm no expert. You could also line the inside of your grow box with reflective materials such as foil, Mylar or poly film ect.. Your seedling stems also look quite stretchy, I think they need more light or the light was too far away from the seedlings to start with and they have stretched to reach the light. Also slight wind/breeze at this stage is needed for the stems to strengthen. My seedlings are 2-3 inches below my light. One last thing I just took another look at your photos of your seedlings, the ones that haven't sprouted so high I'd get them closer to the light I recommend 2 inches, but could depend on your light so I'm not exactly sure how close/far away they need to be but definitely get the smaller seedlings close to the light and then for the taller ones make sure their not to close to the light where they are touching or being burnt. Good luck also :)

Unfortunately I didn't, I have read through a fair few sites and forums to gather a little bit of information. Although it's hard because there is a lot of miss leading information. Sorry I can't really help you there. But if I come across anything worth a read I will definitely share them with you :). I have a site up at the moment, for hydroponics and the prices are good. www.cheaphydroponics.com not sure if you were after any more equipment but that looks like my next place to buy :).

My partner and I live in Australia, and have recently started trying to grow and we have a bunch that have germinated (we are using easy jiffy and a mini green house) that we have planted and a few of them have shot up with a green top whilst we have a few little white furry ones. Is that normal or diseased and should we remove them? Much love!
I have been an on/off grower for a while... I came across this by accident and to be fair I wouldn't have known either? It looks almost impossible as the tap root should turn and go down, away from light and look for moisture? Surely in nature a seed falls at random and will find its own correct 'posture' although I do try and bury mine the right way up...
