White Mould starting at the top of roots

Hi everyone,

Please tell me if I need to be worried about some white mould appearing at the top of my roots? If so, is there anything I can do? I'm using a DWC type setup.

Are you sure it's mold and not just part of the roots, like where they grow new roots out? When you touch them are they solid or fluffy? I don't think mold could grow on roots with that much water around to wash it off.
 
Thanks for the replies. The temperature in my tent is around 20 degrees celsius and the water has one pump running, so it should not be much higher than that. It looks to be on the side of the net pot where the size of the plant has tipped it open, so I will definitely make sure it stays closed properly.

I haven't touched it yet, will do so to check ASAP and maybe see if I can rinse it off somehow.
