ok so not sure if it is a problem or not....what makes the white pistils grow??? i have three ladies in same room, they are all from same bag seed but are clearly different strains (to me anyways)

one has exploded bud growth......tons of white hairs, the other has more veg? less white hairs? here is a picture as i know it helps more....12/12 as of 12/01/2008 MH 400watt 78degrees, soil

The bud showing less white hairs has probably got issues ( minute ones ) or Genetics are slower. Not worth worring about at this point they look good.

probly a different strain for example ak-47 takes around 10 weeks to flower yet is faster at growing in veg and vice verser slow veg fast flower might take 8 weeks with hashplant

just the strains dont worry it is something to do with the predominence of sativia and indica in the plant for height and veg growth too

Apparently what your experiencing is not unusal. I understsand because I am seeing the same thing in my grow from bag seed. Two ladies and they do not look anything alike. Same lights same soil same nutes.

One looks much more indica than the other bushier fatter leaves and smaller and denser buds. The other plant diffently looks like it is a hybrid but its taller, not as bushy and the buds are fewer but larger and do not look as dense.

Mine was from some decent swag so who knows what it is. It also looks like I will be harvesting at different times. At 6 weeks one is mostly cloudy with a few ambers trichomes and the other is still clear. Same amout of time at 12/12 its nuts.

Both your plants look happy and health so do not worry one might just need a little more time to be ready to harvest.

especially with bagseed you can get different genetics EASILY. think about anyone with several brothers and sisters, the same 2 parents but you see 7 distinctly different humans running around. thats why you cant just pollenate one strain with another strains pollen and call the seeds produced a stable strain. you could literally get hundreds of different phenotypes from a single batch of seeds.

sounds like you need to do some reading on flower development, my friend
i am pretty sure that is covered in my brain.......pistils, then buds, yadda yadda....but have never had this happen where there is very few pistils and lots of bud matter....

They definitely look like the same strain, Same bud and leaf patterns on both, just one has less pistil growth. It's normal to have one plant be stronger and grow more vigorously, even if they are related. Just like has been stated, it's like two brothers or two sisters. Same genetics, look alike, just not exactly the same. And no, I don't think the bald one is gonna catch up. The pistils are not what gets ya high anyway, pretty much just eye candy for us when the plant is done trying to use them to reproduce. Still looking great. Best of luck the rest of the way bro!

are you using MH to flower?? does that contain the right spectrum for a flowering plant?? i would move to HPS if possible.... they are looking pretty good to me though. please correct me if im wrong but the blue end of the spectrum comes from MH bulbs which is best used for Veg if you got some red spectrum bulbs maybe more buds would be produced and less plant (veg) matter

i chose this unit over HPS..it was cheaper and i trust my shop that said everyone getting this same set up is getting great results from start to finish.....the bulb is called Sunmaster "warm" bulb which has the orange and red spectrum in it. so far from what i am seeing....i aint complaining!

i just never seen this delay of pistils before
