White powder on fan leaves

I've noticing that in my indoor flower spot, that the fan leaves starting from the bottom up start developing/collecting this white powder that comes off when i rub it. It starts in the very middle of the leaf, like on the main vein down the middle on each finger. then gets bigger and bigger.
I've been thinking it's some type of mold since my indoor spot is hotter then average most of the time.
I've used Iso rubbing alcohol and it went away but then came back within the week. I don't know what to do, I'm thinking about just taking them out of the room for a few days and clean and bleach spray every part of the room.

Any advice guys and girls?

yes thats powdery mildew m8 and it will keep coming back im trying some stuff called endofine havent used it yet though i have tried baking soda and it comes back after 5 days i will let you know about the endofine if it works

You have PM,I got it and burn a sulfer burner to keep it at bay.PM is systemic and once you have it the spores are everywhere.My sulfer burner and bleach keep it at bay.Eagle 20 is systemic spray to kill powdery mildew.The spores are whats hard to kill,my sulfer burner does that.You are haveing envioromental problems(high humidity,High daytime temps and cool night temps,moisture)You can get pm in clones also...peace

get your hands on some neem oil, make sure you evenly and generously apply it following the directions, spray 1 week after first application to make sure any new rogue spores are killed before they colonize and look into a dehumidifier. cost like 40 or 50 bucks and best part is the water you capture with it is usually safe to water your plants with. between the two you shouldnt have any more mildew issues.

Pm is systemic,these guys telling you that pm can be fixed with a dehudifier and neem oil dont know what they are talking about.Its in the fiber of your plants. does neem oil take care of that too?I burn sulfer and use systemic spray to keep that shit out of my room and it still tries to come back.Neem oil hE...If you dont know anything about PM dont give shitty advise...peace

I'm in the proses of spraying my entire growroom with bleach, as of the moment i don't have anymoney to spend on special equipment so im going to leave my plants outside till i clean the room 3 times.
On a side note, i put my year's outdoor crop in the ground about 3 weeks ago, and before i did that two of them had PM......... now they don't!!!! so im thinking that givin really constant cold temperatures, could kill the mold by freezing it to death but will out hurting the plant. They are beautiful green, with no white splotches anymore. just a theory.

thats a pretty good theory, pwdery mildew thrives in very warm very humid environments and if you take away those factors it very possibly could die out

if any of you care, i'll give you an update.

i've got it pretty much eradicated from my plants. cold temperatures does kill out Powdery Mildew. long will watching for water just sitting on the leafs in the morning.

i use a carbon filter for my intake fan and it traps mildew spores and prevents them from being pumped into my room. i got it but caught it quick and now their fine. just an idea. good luck

you know its realy underated for mold problems but bakeing soda dusted on your leaves kicks the molds ass also watch your humidty that can be the real problem clean your room really good with pinesol bleach or windex...........and dont mix bases and acids bleach and baking soda no no or Neem and baking soda bleach windex just be carfull pick either ther alkine methiode or acid methoide sorry about my spelling

that is the best way to do it, but i have to cheap about it, im really low on spendable funds right now ^_^

powdery mildew sucks had it once and bought a dehumidifier. pm will eat your babies alive neem and sulpher will slow it down but not stop it
the only thing to do is prevent it in the first place

ya that's about the easiest way is just prevent it.
