White powdery stuff on the sides of my smart pots

So I have had these pots in use for about 2 1/2 weeks and this stuff appeared after my first watering, which was within the first few days, at first I thought it was just some junk from the perlite and what not in the Roots Organic soil that came through the sides after my first big watering, but now I think not. I tasted it to see if it was salt, but it mainly tastes sour and bitter, maybe a little salty. I havnt noticed any thing on the leaves yet Im worried.
I posted a question about this a week or so ago but got no response, but I was asking mainly about this Exhale C02 bag that I have in the tent with them, I had been busy and didnt have time to hang the bag up so it jut sits on the floor with the pots with a fan blowing at it to blow the c02 around. I thought maybe that could be the proble, the myclium spores escaping the bag and infecting the pots. Any of you ran into this? Or have any Idea on what I can do to fix this or at least how to clean it off of the pots.
I will say, that it has been virtually impossible for me to keep any sort of humidity in the tent while keeping it cool, temps are between 70-78 and I have a 400 cfm inline fan pulling air out, so ventilation is great.
I just cant figure this out, any help PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
major +rep for any help. THX guys

Lol I ve wondered that also..

I believe it's just mineral deposits from the soil an water.

So its a smart pot thing? Yeah its my first time with them, I was seriously convinced it was shit from the Co2 bags. So you and others have this too? So definately powdery Mildew or what not.

I was just looking at my air pruning pots.
I definatly get they same stuff on my pots.

Around here its 10-20 % relative humidity, Definatly not PM. Ive never even seen it.

Never concered me cause they kicked so muck ass.
No root circling, Much denser root mass......

Yeah, like you said, I have virtually no humidity, and never had it before. Only new things are the smart pots and the c02 bag.

I don't know about these pots but i can tell you from my salt lick used from hunting experience that salt does that alot . salted tree stumps will get that same look to them even after all visable salt has long been eatin by elk and deer . my vote is it's just minerals .

i just noticed the same fuzzy grey stuff on the bottom of my smart pots. not all of them have it but most of them. its been a month and i just developed this. im not sure its mineral build up or salt deposit but im praying its that and not mold. if anybody could confirm its not mold that would be great

Like everyone has said, yeah it's probably salt buildup from fertilizer or calcium from water, saturating the fabric then drying out will make it show up over time. It happens, but normally wouldn't see it when using a conventional pot ;)

I have the same thing going on and the plants don't seem bothered by it. I'm sure there is some kind of organic spray that can be used if it bothers your allergies.

It's mineral deposits, mostly salts. You can get it with synthetic or organic fertilizers that were already in or added to your soil.

Smart pots look funky after a while but that's how they work. They're very porous.
If you charge your soil with beneficial bacteria you'll see them growing externally as well, especially mycorrhizae.

Its mostly root exudates that have been dehydrated to salts.

You can find this even more on living soil pots that use filtered water and no salts. In hydroponics, the roots waste 50-80% of its photosynthetic sugar through the roots. The plant uses them to acquire ions (CEC) but mostly to attract soil biology that isn't there.

If you look at the buildup of deposits on fabric pots, that's energy wasted that could have been used to make flowers and biomass.
