looks like mildew possibly?? do you know your humidity.

spider mites wont leave a white residue type thing, the spots from them looks like the chlorophyll is sucked out.

ya. I know i have spider mites but i guess its something else. Humidity is fine, very good air flow and it keeps in the 80s in my cab... there are small pools of water in my cab. so maybe mildew...

when i had spider mites i used this thing called a "no pest strip". it costs like 7 bucks at home depot and you just hang this plastic thing in your room for a week and any bug in the area is dead. it is some nasty toxic shit, but it is so much cheaper and easier then any other alternative. you are not suppose to be in the room for more than 4 hours, so if you are then i wouldnt get it.

you can also use neem oil. a product called azek, or something like that is also really good for spider mites.

but again, what you have there is not spider mites. as far as mildew, i would try this.

  1. Mix one tablespoon baking soda with one gallon of near-room temperature water.
  2. Add one or two drops of liquid soap to help the solution adhere to the plant.
  3. Spray the affected areas with the solution This solution changes the Ph balance on the surface of the plant, making it an unsuitable environment for powdery mildew to proliferate.

never grow in a room with carpet it hold humidity in the room and keeps it there no matter how u fan it or vent it. use tile , full drywall, or tinfoil. definatly some sort of mould/ mildew

Thanks for the pointer Jackt55, ive read that that recipe works at other sources too, so sounds good.

All i have is alcohol and ive been using that like everyother day, 1:1 of water because of spider mites but i also think mold isnt fond of it either.

(my grow is in a wood cab btw)

Now im wondering if the alcohol is causing my leafs to curl in half, 'buritoing' so to speak...

Powdery mildew, lower the humidity, increase airflow..Next time grow strains that are mildew resistant.....This works also :http://www.pioneerthinking.com/tv-mildew.html
Powdery mildew is best dealt with by increasing air flow and lowering humidity. I highly recommend a sulphur burner. Usually using it 2-4 hours per week will eliminate all traces of mildew.

Also neem oil seems to make it difficult for the mold to get started.

i am currently haveing the same problem. so far i seem to have it under controll. i treated the plant with everclear and oust. put some everclear in a shot glass and with a q-tip apply to the infected area. take your time, get it all. i found that my most infected areas were the stems, so check it out. after you rub down every leaf, turn off the fans and lightly spray the plants with a disenfectent like oust. turn the fans on in a few mins and if needed help dry the plants. just for good measure i misted the plants with plain water. dont know if it helped but i wanted to rinse the plants off. make sure that there is plenty of air circulation or the problem will happen again. if you dont get it under controll your buds will go moldy after harvest so take your time. after you harvest, totally clean out your grow room with a bleach and water mix. if you have a veg room clean it out as well. if this becomes a recurring problem you should consider getting a heppa filter

What you have is PM (Powdery Mildew) this have been proven the best Organic herbicide on the market......GreenCure

GreenCure has a spreader in mix...NO SMELL ....10-14 day spray intervals....can be used 1 hour prior to harvest..... Its active ingredient, potassium bicarbonate http://www.greencure.net/

You can buy GreenCure here http://www.muckbootsonline.com/GreenCure_Fungicide_p/gc8oz.htm

If you are in a pinch and need to knock the PM (powdery mildew) down use 1/4 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide per 32oz or a quart spray bottle full of water....this will be good for about 5 days then the pm will return at that time hit it again with the water/h202 mix

PM is herpes for marijuana....Once you have pm you will never totally get rid of it....but you can maintain it

i was looking more in to our problem and it seems to be called downy mildew. it grows in temps less than 76 and humidity above 50%. jorge cervantes says to apply serenade. its available at most stores with a garden supply. he also says its often fatal :(
