White spots on leafs

Hey guys I am pretty new to hydro and am having an issue, have done some research but not really coming up with anything, truly probably just searching the wrong thing so at this point i am not to sure what to search for. I have an Afghan kush that is about 2 weeks old and the leafs are getting whitesh/ Pelling? kinda of bleach looking spot. PH varys from 5.8 to 6.2 and am only using advance nutrients pirahana at 8ml per gal and great white premium mycorrhizae at half a teaspoon per 5 gal res. Temp is usually around 68 but can get up to 73. Running a 400 mh that is 18inch away. 5 gal black bucket, net pot, rocks, airstone and tubing are all new aswell. Not sure why I'm having this issue or even really what to call it which is the reason I am reaching out for help. Thanks

Anytime I see little white spots, it's due to spider mites. Have you checked under leaves leave with a jeweler's microscope?

Just checked for mites and no mites bud pest free.. There not exactly white almost like a pelling color?very hard for me to describe the color....Thank you for the advice guys much appreciated! Also could I be having this problem because there is no base nutrient in there yet?

Looks like mites to me too, I also see white spots that could be pm but everytime I try to expand one of the pictures it closes on me so I can't really get a good look, I would check extra carefully for mites and then I would start considering pm ...but the leaf surface does have a weird texture to it, from what I can see looks like severe mite damage ?

Yeah, it could be some deficiency starting in. For something that small, I'd say 180ppm - 200ppm. Don't forget to balance the water as well, so the plant can pick up the nutes.

Forget what I said above! I just read your post again and checked out the leaves. You're starting to get burn, so you are a little strong in nutes. For something that small I'd be using around 3mil/gallon of my nutes, which would be around 180ppm when mixed. Your nutes might vary on the strength/tsp. If you have a TDS meter, check your water to see where you're at. If you don't have a meter, get one. You are going to need it.

Did you check with a microscope? They are hard to see with the naked eye.

Lol yup I zoomed in to find the web like thing on the leaf lol

No, the dots aren't webs (if they are mites), they are individual cells in the leave that the mites have sucked out their food. Not sure if they feed off the actual chlorophyll. They lay egg sacks on top of the leaves, but they mostely stay underneath. If they are mites, you might find little balls on top of the leaves. Those are egg sacks. But you're probably right, you would've seen them as close as you're looking.

Wow thanks for the info I did not know all of that I will diffently keep an eye out for them and check top from bottom daily . I have ran into spidermite more 8 years ago but have been mite free since fingers crossed.. hate those fuckers! Would you suggest using a mild pestide just in cause or just keep a close eye on them... once again thank you so much for your help

To me it looks like leaf variegation. This has happened to me with indica / afghan / chem genetics. Nothing to worry about pest wise. It will just cause that plant to be stunted a bit. It may grow out of it and be fine, time will tell. Keep in mind if you take clones off of this plant if it grows out of it, that variegation will always be there ready to pop out.

The pic that I zoomed in on possibly looked like PM, it’s really hard to see from a pic, that’s why I asked. Just keep an eye on her for a bit ;).

I don't treat the plants if I don't see problems developing. I take a lot of steps to prevent critters from making it into the house, much less the grow room. I do keep Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew and neem oil spray on-hand though.

Last year I was growing a plant outside, as well as in the tent. As much as I tried, I wasn't able to prevent mites from invading the plants inside. I did spot them right away and ended up treating everything in the tent, which took several hours and a lot of patience. I drenched all the leaves with Dead Bug Brew to where all the leaves were dripping. I wiped down the leaves (again, patiently), then did the same treatment with neem oil. After drying, I used my micro-vacuum attachments (usually used for electronics), and delicately vacuumed the undersides of all the leaves. After that, I never had another problem. This time I'm only growing inside, so I'm hoping to avoid another problem.
