im about 4 weeks into flowering about a week ago i noticed some white dots on a plant didnt pay any attention because it was a strain ive never grown before. it now has spread a few days ago when i applied my folier spray it seemed like there were almost small webs on my nugs but i am very cautios of bugs and can never find any. my local hydro store said it was mildew and neede more potassium. my humidity is around 55% heat is about 86 degrees middl of day. anyone have any ideas? sorry i dont have pics my cameras on a so called tour at the moment. thanks

if your seeing webs on your plant and white dots on your leaves it sounds like you have spider mites... they live under the leaves and are super tiny.. they look like little white, red, or clear dots under the leaves.. except you can see them move.. there may also be some white tiny eggs from them under the leaf.. take a look under the infected leaves and see if you dont see anything like i described...

Definetly sounds like spider mites. And if one plant has them the rest will soon. They spread like crazy and lay eggs like crazy too. Try using a product called azetrol its a bit pricy but really works and they make an organic version. If all else fails I hate to break it to ya but chop em down.

If you can get some Ladybugs or predator mites Persimilus, they will eat all the spidermites for you.:peace:

it sounds like spider mites... the mites might not move when you move the leaf because they get scared or whatever... but it sounds like you have them..

there are some options you can use to get rid of them...

to start with you can use neem oil.. first make sure if you use it that its 100% pure cold pressed neem oil.. this is the good shit... you mix it with water and a little bit of biodegradeable non scented dish soap (its important to make sure its that so the soap doesnt harm the plant) and make a spray... you spray the plant well top to bottom, and under the leaves... repeat every 3 days for 2 weeks and you should get rid of them...

keep in mind neem oil is not a spot spray.. it will not kill on contact... neem works by suffocating the eggs it coats.. and stops adult mites from being able to reproduce by fucking with their hormones.. and it keeps young mites from ever reaching maturity and the ability to reproduce... so it takes a while for the mites to die...

to be affective neem must be injested, so you have to spray throughly.. you can add neem oil to your water when you feed as well.. this ensures the pest injests it when it feeds on the plant.. it also deters the pests from eating the plant because they dont like the taste..

another good natural way to get rid of them is to use predator mites or lady bugs.. you can purchase them online or at your local hydro shop.. again this takes a while.. but you dont have to worry about chemicals..

you can go with a pyrethrin sprays also if you want...these are starting to get into the chemicals tho.. dr doom is a good choice for this..

another choice is a hot shots no pest strip.. these are dangerous if breathed in for an extended period of time.. but are affective..

if you use a spray or a fogger make sure you can do it during a time when you can shut off your exhaust fans so the spray/fogger has time to work...

a couple other things you can do is lower your temps.. warm temps can increase their reproduction rate... and if you can spray your plants off with a hose that will spray them off... just make sure its a light spray...

as was stated keep that plant isolated until the problem is done.. they will go quickly from plant to plant and reproduce even faster...

It sounds like you have powdery mildew on the top of the leaves, and you just happened to noticed some spider mite webs while taking a closer look. I had spider mites for all 8 weeks of flowering, but I was trying to keep my powdery mildew under control with neem oil like simpsonsampson420 said. The neem oil also contrled the spider mites that I didnt even know were there (they are flippin' tiny). 2 weeks before harvest I noticed the spider mites, continued the neem oil, and took more care when it came to wetting the bottom of the leaves. I found GreenCure is the best for powdery mildew, Fungicide 3 is good for powdery mildew and spider mites, Azamax is great for spider mites (really expensive though). Good luck.

i watered all of the plants with potassium silicate and this morning before the lights went off i sprayed them with defender ( a garden fungicide) i think stricly seedless may be right. when i sprayed them again today there is very minimal webbing on my plants but i can find the white spots on almost all of the plants now. but only webs on maybe 2 out of 9 and minimal. i will see if i can find some neem oil because it sounds like if what i have doesnt fix the problem it will. i will update as time goes on. thanks again for the replys
