BC seedking WhiteWidow under 600 MHHi, I have 8 white widow, 56 days into flower. Are these done? They don't have that much of a smell to them, kinda a earth smell....I have already flushed them with a flushing product. I cut a little bud off of one of them, and it smelled like hay...it went from 3.6 grams to .9 grams in a day. The RH was 33% so i am assuming it dried to fast.

Or is all my WW gonna smell like a barn?

That is when I like to cut... many people like to wait for the pistils to take on a certain look.... brown, receded, stuff like that. I personally go by trichs alone.

Some plants will bulk up a bit with swollen calyx a little later than peak potency. I recall indoor growers saying white widow is one that you can take early (8 weeks) but is better later (10 weeks). Hopefully an experienced Widow grower comes around and gives you some more info.

Smell... It varies. Some plants wreak more when you cut them down and carry the same smell. Some have no smell and cure into a nice smell.
I grew WW outdoor, years ago, I cannot remember what the smell was like.

Slow dry and a little cure should make a big difference. Good luck. Looks good.

Let her go until her hairs turn a deep dark red. Maybe within the next week. I harvested mine but the buds that were left to turn this way were muuuuch better.

I'd give them at least 10 more days, checking them daily for any rapid changes, leaf discolorations etc. Make sure they are well ventilated ..

I'm sure checking trichomes is a handy indicator, I myself harvest 'when the fruit is ripe'. ... You can just 'tell'. It's a fruit, it has a peak maturity. I can't tell enough from the pictures, and you could certainly take her now and be none the worse, but she looks like a bit more time would be beneficial for the way 'I' like it.

Just one guy's ramblin thoughts.. if you take it now you will be dandy, take it later, a bit more candy.

Cannabis, is not a fruit. It's a flower. I really don't want to get into this discussion again. But to make a long story short the seeds are the fruit.

You are getting very close.. if you wait a bit longer you will know what a 'ripe' fruit looks like.:)

If nothing else, just wait 5 more days (keeping a good eye on her) and at the end of 5 days ask yourself 'am I glad I waited'.. if the answer is yes, give her 3-4 more days and ask the same thing.

At least that's what this idiot does~!

Luck mate, you are almost there.. I hate to quote Tom Petty, but the waiting is the hardest part. SOOOOO close.. yet so far away.. heh..
