ok so i made it through my first grow in a cool cab dwc hydro grow and dried my beautiful w.w. and am now curing it....the problem is that there is nooooo smell that even comes close to resembling weed coming from my precious plants....wtf? will it come eventually? or does this strain have that bland hydro antismell that soil growers complain about....for the love of god help!

ok thanks...it has a down right fruity pebbles smell but no skunky stink we all know and love and i'm a lil bit worried what with a 6 thousand dollar investment so far and the thought of having to start over with another strain.

Mine smelled like that too but after a couple weeks in the jars they started smelling really nice and skunky.

Depends on how you grew it and how you prepared it for harvest. Hydo almost never smells like soil but yes curing it right will bring out the fruits. Good luck

I harvested white widow 2 months ago.
I was thinking the exact same thing but then after a week or 2 curing...Ouch!
That was far the best smoke i ever had!
Just check the jars frequently incase of mold!!

Seems to me just like cooking. If you can smell the spice in a stew for example your wasting it. Best to keep it in the pot where it can do its job. Kindly keep us posted on the WW...I been thinking about buying some. Any recommendations on where to get get some? I need it packaged so my Mom wont know whut it is when it arrives in Americka..thanks. I need it disguised as hot peppas or something.

ya i think i harvested it too late ...i didnt have the microscope at the time and didnt know about the 50-80% rule of the hairs turning red-brown they were all brown so the potency surely suffered but the smell did get better and i was the only one who didnt like it.

It usually smells pretty green like fresh cut grass until it cures for a bit
i did notice the grass smell and it scared me but your right it got waaaaaay better after a week or so.

My widow is very stinky. I almost stopped growing it a few years ago cause it smelled so strong. Its a bust. I have never seen a widow strain as good as mine. I feel very lucky. WM

here's a albfuct inspired bud dryer...except i made it out of wood. but lemme tell ya 3 days...done. rollitup
established 6 moms of the purple widow...
made my own aerocloner, 30 sumthin bucks
a 2 week cutting pass of clones waiting to root
cuttings on day 5 and no roots yet...but healthy like crazy...even getting lime green new growth.
here's the rootless shot at 5 days. 396gph pump 10 rain bird 180 degree sprayers used cut and split rapid rooters for a collar and olivias cloning gel along with an air stone and h2o2 in the res.
