White widow x big bud

the trichomes on leafs will turn amber early...be sure your checking out buds. because you will get alot more weight in 2 weeks.
 
Checking top sugar leaves and has worked in the past but always open to new suggestions especially if it means bigger yield ;) so what part do you check? Right inside the bud?
 
I don't usually check until it visually looks done. The rule of thumb is when you think it's done wait another week. I would atleast wait till all the pistols have turned brown or red on most of the plant and it looks swollen.

Just try putting your scope on buds and not leafs is what I was saying if your trying to find out how milky the buds are.
 
Cheers for the info, will wait a couple of weeks and try that way of checking :) did think it was a bit early as attitude says 7-8wks which usually means anything from 9-13wks in my experience! ;)
 
They look fine its natural to go yellow at the end. Some like to stay green to the end but it can take a bit to dial certain strains in.
 
Look at this fast and vast auto I'm giving her about 2 more weeks. She's a short thing but packed with nice colad.

Was expecting a bigger yield from this strain as well, the Killawatt I grew last year was much fatter! ;)

I think to go strictly by triches is a mistake.. Just like going strictly by pistils changing colors etc.. Its a combination of a few factors and you just want to wait until the plant is done.. Otherwise you'll be wondering why all you're ever ending up with is a bunch of hairy ass bud instead of that nice sticky chunk.. To think that plant is "nearly done" or "aint gonna be long" is kinda right in the sense that a few weeks is not a very long time, but if you bring it down any less than that 56 and you're just short changin yourself..

Besides it looking hungry, the plant looks nice!
 
This was a Critical+ auto I did last year, only got 1 ft high but nice smoke!! ;)

Blowincherrypie trichs has worked before so going by personal experience, yaknow? :) How do you tell then? And how long you recon on mine? Always open to others opinions, only way to learn! ;)
 
I wait until Calyx are swollen and pistils changed and recede.. I would say about a cpl weeks.. But if you're completely out you may b able to make it 10 days.. If you have full jars you might wanna wait 17-21.. Good luck!
 
Hopefully there is a couple different phenos. I'm running this as more of a cash crop in one of my hydro coolers. I have a couple personal strains to smoke was looking for a yielder. From looking at your pics she seems average. What kind of light are you using. what's the smell like?
