I have some white widow plants that are 4 weeks old, short and very bushy. I just noticed today that some of the 3 and 4 gallon pots have roots coming out of the bottom. Is this bad, and what do I do?
is it ok to transplant them? will it put the plant into shock? How big of pots would I use?they wont go far as the air will prune them, its called air pruning, lol. Its fine but it might be time for a bigger pot though.
Plants will send roots all the way down first and foremost, when they develop roots. Simply seeing some roots poking out the drainage holes is not an indicator that you need to pot up. 3-4 gallon pots should get you all the way, you only need to pot up if you notice that you have to water it every day(assuming you properly water it).is it ok to transplant them? will it put the plant into shock?
