who all is using botanicares KIND line?

Every now and then I will see someone using botanicares nutrients, but not as often as I would think considering how badass the nutrients have been for me. I'm having great results, and think that anyone who is looking for a bloom booster should Consider adding hydroplex to their flower regiment. And the silica blast would be good for anyone with any brand of nutes as well.

My local grow store guy recommended them, just wondering who else uses them.

i used their sample stuff. seems nice and thick for organic. just seems like you would go through alot of it.

Yeah, I've not tried anything other than roots organics (its actually an organic nutrient line, like bat guanos and stuff). I've heard of "organic" hydro nutes but botanicare seems to be made up of simple salts like the rest? I didn't realize it was organic.

I'd suggest against any and all 'bloom boosters' and I'd also suggest checking out DynaGro's protekt instead of Silica blast. They're roughly the same price yet Silica Blast only has about 1/4 the amount of silicon.

In the interest of getting the best bang for your buck why not just buy a pound of soluble potassium silicate from a garden supply center for $10? Thats really all they both are correct?

If it's as simple as mixing water and the raw salt then yes, that would be an amazing bang for your buck. Got a link to a supplier?

AgSil 16h is one I can name, its available most everywhere
One of the sites says 560 grams of AgSil 16h will yield the same SiO2 value as protekt which essentially knocks the cost down from $40ish to around $10/gal. Thanks for saving me a few bucks!

Yeah, hell the "base" nutrient to the 3 part system is just nitrogen and calcium, if you look at the ingredients its just calcium nitrate, which is a salt you can buy in bulk.

In fact, you can look at most nutrient bottles ingredients and as long as its a salt, then you can buy it in bulk somewhere.

As far as the bloom booster goes-- read the back of the hydroplex bottle. It has magnesium, boron, molybdenum, phosphorous, and potassium. I was using gh's Kool Bloom but the hydroplex is definitely way nicer.

Bloom boosters are just as easy, monopotassium phosphate, a lil potassium nitrate or potassium sulfate and boom, most every bloom booster around, occasionally they add some pointless trace elements but thats pretty much it. Hell, look at the NPK of dry koolbloom and then check the NPK of plain old monopotassium phosphate, virtually the same. Calcium nitrate, mag sulfate(epsom salt), monopotassium phosphate, and potassium silicate are all great things to have on the shelf, they are extremely cheap, will save you tons of money, and every nute manufacturer uses them.

Agreed-- one really could grow super dank for really cheap. The nutrient bottles are definitely easier, having feeding schedules and whatnot, but still-- you can't argue with the bull price on a lot of these salts. I'm definitely gonna be on the lookout for some potassium silicate
