lets not talk of Euro football, Scotland....usual 3rd place, now if X beat Y, and A draw with B, and we beat Z, then providing X actually beat Y by 3 goals, and we win by 2, then we'll get into the playoff for the comp...lmfao, every competition its the same, lol, lol, and lol once more.

I know how ya feel mate, year after year it seems like we just get shafted in some way, shape or form.

Fingers crossed this year, we have some young players coming into the senior squad that are quite good but trapitoni just doest play them, its seriously fuckin frustrating.

Like they have James McCarthy bench warming when he is on top form, that pisses me right off.

True, often Face Palms are dealt with when watching internationals. I guess everyone has biased views on players but sometimes I wonder. My last season playing football was of similar frustration. I was wanting to go pro- we had scouts coming to our games, and after playing some semi pro teams in the warm up season I was given the thumbs up by some of the players I had played against (also the only one to score a few goals in those games). But the manager didn't think I got on in training because all the other lads came from the same place, yaddy yaddy ya. First opportunity after that and my knee got done, ACL smashed to pieces, career over before it began...grrr. So I think sometimes decisions come from the training field and that is just stupid. Some players just don't get on at some clubs because of the same reason. I often wonder how these pro players are like together. Our international teams just don't get enough time together I reckon.

i watched american football for the 1st time on channel 4 uk, i had nfl wallpaper when i was a kid and i always liked the new york jets just on the wallpaper though, they had the best kit in my eyes. when i watched the cowboys rip apart the jets i thought whats goin on but then the jets were great and won. i will be watching every game now i think this game was my introduction to a great Sport. i know some people in uk think its stop start and hands involved but i think its gonna take off over here, i support the jets in nfl now they got determination and grit go jets. newcastle united drew to the villa and are having the best start to this season go the toon.

Arsenal are pretty choppy at the minute but they have a great squad and Can only get better
totally agree mate, this transfer window just gone has completley fucked things up for arsenal. Doing all the business so late, signing 26, 28 year olds and giving them 4 year contracts is not like arsenal.

however i'm pleased with the new players their gonna need a bit of time

Yes gervinho will be one for the squad they just need to gel proper their play is eloquent and usually consistent, i like to watch them play. i watched arsenal v tottenham in the highbury arms wearing a toon army top the bouncer said hammers only and i opened my jacket he laughed and said keep your jacket closed. im glad i had my jacket on haha.

what a weekend of footy though. arsenal looking shaky at the back is very unusual. normally id say selling your best players is a death sentence for your team but being a toon fan sitting in 4th spot, you have to wonder. having sold carroll and jose to liverpool, seeing them absolutely taken apart by spurs was crazy. had to laugh when they were singing are you arsenal in disguise.

cant wait to see ben arfa and ba up front for us. we're going to turn teams over for fun

i saw football and was expecting an nfl team but then i saw newcastle and was like wtf? ohhh soccer
Proper football where they use their feet, thus Football, what you call football is more like a sport for crash test dummies, if you want a sport where you pick up the ball it's called Rugby...

it's still plain to see that pardew is just a puppet, but he's doing well with the new lads their gelling together well. that cabaye is a cracking signing. still dont think it'll be long before clubs exploit the left back weakness but so far so good.

it's early days still. see where we sit in january. if you'd told me we'd be 4th now last season i'd have laughed you out the boozer

Torres missing an open goal, lmfao.

Liverpool getting humped 4-0, not so funny.

Dunfermline coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Hibs, quite happy with that. We are doing not bad for a newly promoted team.

i went to watch the parrs once, with my brotherinlaw, he used to live next door to the guy from big country, sadley theyre both away now, i can remember going for a drink in the creepy wee pub, and getting bad indegestion from the bridies they were nice though.
PARS!!!!!!!! or Dunfermline Athletic as they are officially known. Just promoted to the Premiership in Scotland last year. I support Dunfermline as my step Dad was an ex-pro footballer and told me if I wanted to watch and support a football team I had to support my local team. He bought me my first season ticket which at the time cost only £10. Pies and Bovril fuk yeh! At that time I followed the team all across Scotland, and also to midweek games, I was 10 years old. Do you know any parents that would let their son go half way across country with his mate on a Wednesday evening? Sorry to sound like an old c_nt but the world sucks these days, thankfully the weed is stronger though!
