Who sterilizes their soil?

So I was just reading another post about somebody who got bugs from "sterilized soil" from home depot. I know home depot is probably not the best place to buy soil from so I bought Fox Farms OF from my local hydro store.
I've already started my grow my question is should I sterilize the soil when I transfer pots and Who sterilizes their soil?
