Who still does 24hrs dark to kick off flower?

Getting back into it after about 13 years off. Do people still do the 24 hours of darkness to kick off the flower period or is that just and old trick from back when ?

I have a friend that's been growing for 20 years that swears by it, i use to do it but now I just flip 12/12.

Btw I had that exact same tent, I can tell by the pink drip tray lol looks like it was intentionally from the factory and not a 1-off mistake.

I still do it when I'm In a hurry to sex them, if I know there all fems I sometimes don't but usually I still do.

I used to but not for a while, I started noticing when the light come on the yellowing was a little excessive around the tip shoots/growth.

I'd like to compare one against another to see if there's substance to this?
