I went by Greenwerkz today and dude told me they won something at the cup for the R4. While I was there, I went ahead and let him talk me into buying my limit (6 seeds) of R4 feminized for a very reasonable (IMO) $50. He had to twist my arm a bit :grin:


Also, the edible active CBD oil from Natural Mystic is badass, that's made from the Tora Bora buds.

I thought that too. Well, by purchasing tbe seeds you can breed them however you want.

Also, why am I not surprised something with "cookies" in the name won.

I'm just curious Bubba - did they define 6 seeds as your limit or did you? I have not heard of a limit on how many seeds you can buy. Of course, I do know about the limit on how many plants you can grow...
 
Shits weak what happened to open source? Went out the window as soon as they figured out they could turn a profit? Go figure...

Their limit. They are also limiting the amount of flower you can buy to an 1/8th because they under estimated the demand :???:

Dude told me it grows out like an Indica and has strange yellow marbling color on the leaves. I plan to run it in August. Personally I don't mind paying the $ for the seeds... I'm just happy to get them. And since I did buy them, anyone wants a cut, let me know.

Maybe we can swap an R-4 cut for a Meltdown. I got seeds on the 20th and need to finish some construction before I can grow it, but for sure germinating soon. Debating about the new flower unit's light, might just simplify by putting in a 600 W HPS and upgrading to Hortilux, find out if the higher price is justified while being able to relax about the rig's ability to produce quality buds. I'll let you know when I get the seeds going and get clones started. Or, if you want to swap seeds, we could make that happen pretty quick.
 
Perfect, we can compare notes on the phenos and see which ones are worth taking clones from to make the best medicine. Did you find a testing service that makes sense to use for just a few samples? I looked at the kit and am not seeing how it could accurately determine the levels of the different compounds, but it looks like the relative amounts can be approximated.

And regarding the winners of the cup, I'd say we all win just because there is such a contest, as it helps move the research forward, improving the strains available to the consumers/patients and provides a meeting place for the exchange of information.
 
I don't know about the test lab. I believe that individuals can get tests done for $50 or so at Cannalabs, but I hope someone with direct experience will weigh in... Kinda pricey, but I lose that in three rolls in Vegas lol (good thing I don't go there often...). Anyways, it's all relative yeah? I plan to test both plants in my cab.... I agree that test kit is lame bro - too much work.

If any of these seeds produce good plants with decent buds, then it would merit taking a sample to the lab to see where the numbers are. If there are high CBD numbers with a good plant I suppose a clone would need to be pollinated, but with what... Maybe another high CBD strain? Seems like everyone except me gets how this works.:dunce::peace::eyesmoke:
 
I haven't even thought about breeding... all I'm trying to do right now is identify a high CBD strain so I can grow it as a base med. My goal is for every run of Bubba's medicine chest to have a high CBD strain plant along with a fun strain by local breeders. I plan to have everything tested... at least for awhile.
