Agreed. I wouldn't mind as I'm online most of the time but I guess all it takes is for me to mis-0read something and total meltdown lol
That's the thing, when one goes into Mod Mode they can quickly become cynical and lose patience and general get sick of everyone's bullshit. The sites I used to mod on were much, much stricter than this. All jokes and games were restricted to one subforum, trolling was a ban-able offense after 3 warnings, swearing at someone wasn't tolerated, everyone was expected to type in full sentences with adequate grammar/capitalization or they were instantly redirected to a specialists writer's board until they came back more legible etc. They were very no-bullshit. There was less of the crude banter or insult-throwing seen here and people were expected to clarify themselves by default (generalizations were avoided) Double-posting and repeat threads were intensely discouraged.
The way things ere discussed and contextualized, I had nothing to get wound up about most of the time. The only time I had to argue or get the banhammer out was with people were harassing other users, spamming, being disrespectful to other forum staff etc.
A very different world from here, guys!
