Whole house smells like WEED!

Not yet but i need help.

Im thinking of rerouting one of the small air conditioning ducts that goes to the bathroom to go to the closet, I dont need a/c in my bathroom anyways. I want to put an inline fan or some kind of fan to suck air OUT of the air conditioner. My question is, will stinky air still find its way into my air conditioning system? Cause theres really no point in being stealth about my grow if the whole house reeks like weed. What kind of heat can I expect from a 400 watt light bulb?

a 400 watt will generate a pretty good amount of heat, im not able to give you temps but you're gonna need some cooling going on.

as to your ventilation problem, you should consider getting some carbon filters or making your own for super cheap.

If you go to town with filters you will have less stink to even worry about. Blowing all the smell into your closet may just make the entire room your closet is in reek.

What I want is to blow the air that would normally come FROM the air conditioner into the grow room, by moving the duct from the bathroom to the closet (in the attic). What im asking is if theres gonna be stinky weed smell wafting through the entire air conditioning system? Is it gonna get in the air conditioning duct and be blown throughout the house?

Fuck a carbon filter..duh. I cant beleive i didnt think of that... Thanks lol

Well my whole house DOES smell like weed! I've got a bunch of plants downstairs and one plant trimmed and drying in a spare bedroom. I made cannabutter and with that I made brownies and some apple butter bars. Lemme tell ya, it reeks in here. ...but in a good way. :)

I had a friend over the other day,
and they said " im not sure why but i keep smelling weed" LOL
I told her a couple of friends were smoking a joint the night earlier.....

I need to get my Odor under control ASAP......

i now have a paguino pac c 100. its cools and dehumidifies. and no smell outside or even really inside either very impressed

I had the same shit happen to me. I run two negative Ion generators and am thinking of adding ONA to the mix. The guest made a comment that they thought they smelled fresh weed and I replied maybe you are smelling my burn from earlier? and they responded, no, this smells fresh. So I produced an oz of stink from my desk drawer and they were like, I knew you had weed! :)

I might need to put the Ionics IN the grow room.

Thats kinda scary. nothing worse than someone who knows too much...
Why not carbon filters? I hear that stuff works wonders.

I had an ion generator in my grow room and the only time you could smell it was if you left the door open, and then only if you were trying to smell it. They work great.

I have a carbon filter, but its conected to the thermostat "cooling" function.
So it doesnt come on often enough to take care of the odor.
Im also drying a whole heap of bud in my box which definately isnt helping with the odor.
I conected the Carbon Filter direct to power last nicght as tthe odor was getting really bad ( but now my temps are too cold ).
Cant win.....
Looking at air con systems now so i can have an encosed system as i will be running Co2 soon...

Beansly : If your house has ducted AC , i wouldnt re-route to your closet as your "grow area" will have fluctuating temps depending on your air con use....

them ion generator with built in carbon filter, made for, hay fever an dust allergies, work very well, keeped the smell from 8 plants under control, but mine packed up this year,
so im just useing an air cooler with sum carbon filter's from a cooker hood, so far working well. but this is what im thinking of buying next.

May i make a suggestion? Don't take it the wrong way.... I'm just concerned for you. Have your wife walk around the house, doing some gardening or something and see if she can smell weed outdoors. You may have become accustomed to it or if not, you walk the property. I hear of soooo many busts because someone smelled something.

Charged plates are good. That thing will also capture mold spores!! Great find.

so true when mine packed up i could not tell, it was only when a mate came to see me, and told me that he could smell it 100yards away!! that could of bin old bill!!
