Tricky little bastards right? Ive had them before and got them about a year later. I drench with Master Garden pest oil. Its organic but has to be used pretty fing strong 3-4% but the price isnt bad. what ever it takes

I've got them too!
And this is my first grow =/

One of the vet's on here told me to cut back on the watering and they SHOULD die off, but no luck so far, the fuckers are resilient to say the least. I was about to my make a thread but I'm subbing to yours now.

Someone out here has to have a solution!
Damn, i got them first grow too, especially disappointing after wanting to grow for so many years... I keep reading so many different things I can try which is cool but the amount of info that could not work is overwhelming.. Im thinking of going hydro as my plants are young teens in soil, i dunno but i got to decide soon, fuckin dispensary they should give me back my money i bought the clones with as they had them in the cubes.. Im definitely planning hitting them with some systemic poison tomorrow and a few more times(imidaclorpid) but im wondering what else i should use to get em... I could list like ten different possibilites of stuff ive heard could work but ill prob use some organic pyrethrum too and ive already been using insceticidal soap but from what I see that is just keeping the top layer of soil and above okay... i read about Beauveria Bassiana the fungus but i cant find it for a reasonable price... I dont want to spend a ton of money trying to keep these 3 young clones alive but I do want to try some less expensive means...

I have a few thousand of the lil fucker's free to a good home, long as it is not mine anymore. Bad batch of soil from hydro store. My flower room is a mess. and I got the lil pricks in my veg tent. Veg tent i have em under controll and only kill 3 or 4 a day now. Flower room needs to finish so i can toss out all the infected soil, and wash it down. I tried spray that worked great for the first few weeks, now when i go in with the spray bottle they all line up for a free drink as it seems to make them grow now...I tried lady bugs, but they chased the lady bugs away. Found a big spider in my house and just for shits and giggles i put him in the flower room and soon ass he seen all the flys he knocked my down trying to get out the door...I have powerder from the 70's that says it will kill em, but i am sure that who ever somes the buds will die to lol...what a fucking mess.

I've heard a lot about h202 as well. If you're running all organic, I'd say you're sol unless a tobacco or some strong insecticide is deemed effective. If chemical ferts mix 1 part store bought (3%) h202 with 3 parts water. you can mix with regular chem ferts without worry. When the soil is leached it will bubble a little bit but it should be lighting those aphids up. reapply h202 in lower concentrations, (maybe drop back to 1 part h202 9 parts water) when you feed. H202's only downside is killing all organic material.

Hey there Just wanted to share some info. I'm now fighting these things for the 2nd time Dont know where they came from as i dont let anything in my house because im self seficent... But anyways If your having Issues in your bloom Search a product called botanigard 22WP Its a mycoincesticide WORKS GREAT in bloom its all organic they hit me the last 2 weeks of bloom on my OG's im in hydro rockwool medium do a full medium drench with the rate of 1 pound per 50 gal's water they started dying off after about 3 days they started moving out of my rockwool. I looked at them under my microscope can see the fungi's eatin them (what a great thing to see). So that takes care of them in bloom if they happen to hit you there. So now what do we do about veg Well lets nuke them in veg i had been using bayer tree and shrub but i dont like that fact that it haves a fert's in there so i want something stronger as well. So after plenty of research and calling manufacturs and shit of products I found Merit 75 with is 75 % imidacloprid mixed at a rate of 1 tsp per 10 gallons give this to them in veg NEVER in bloom only use the myco in bloom! So give this to them in veg up to the day before you flip to 12/12 do some searches on the net about how to use this product theres not many post about it but there is some good info... Anyways thats whats working for my now everyday i look my numbers are knocked down and i can see them turning brown in bloom as the myco eats them ....

Well i hope this helps anyone seeking some help with your friendly root aphid problem

i know a sure cure if your in hydro but it has its setbacks. mix a dish soap and water solution. never use anything with bleach alternative or it may kill your plants. use like regular unscented dawn or palm olive. spray your roots real good, it will kill them all. the down side is if you make it too strong it will damage your roots. now rinse your roots off very well. even run your system for a while with plain water or a flushing solution like clear x or floraklean. make sure you can run your systems without getting suds so you know all the soap is rinsed, it's terrible for your plants. this will probably shock your plants. it shocked mine before but not all that bad. this should kill all bugs in the roots. soap is deadly to insects, it suffocates them. mix a strong soap solution and drop it on an ant once, it kills it instantly. this method is extremely cheap. im sure it would even work for mites but again, you have to rinse off very well. even though your roots may get a bit damaged, to me it was worth getting rid of bugs and the never came back. just make sure your other plants are treated as well. soil plants are much harder to treat. especially if your pots have holes on the bottom, they like to hide there. for soil plants imo the best thing to do is start over and make yourself a no adoption policy. anytime some one gives you a plant/clone, refuse it. it's how most infections start. its like going to a different country or alien planet and not being vaccinated. or having sex with random strangers. you never know what they got. start all your own from seeds and clone from there. none of these strains people have are anything real special. your can get virtually any strain from single seeds, nirvana, or attitude to name a few. the only real rare strains are ones discontinued or personal ones people cross themselves. however you can always find other strains out there that rival the supposed best. sorry but none of your favorite growers strains are anything that special. even highly reputable growers give infected plants without knowing. where i live the shit dispensaries even have bug infested clones for sale. ever since i made myself a no adoption policy, i've had not a single mite or fungus gnat. the only bugs i see around are gnats that fly through my living room window but i've never had any make a nest in any of my plants. i look in the top layer of my soil daily. also get spiders around but they're virtually harmless to pot. also never move plants from outside to inside. the outdoors is filled with nasty bugs. chances are your outdoor plants as some bugs hanging around.

also another thing is a keep sticky traps all over the place. i have several hanging, 1 laying on the top of the soil for each pot. just remove when watering. then my old ones that get too much dirt in them i keep on the floor around my plants since they're still good until they're almost covered in dirt or dead leaf particles. every once in a while put fresh ones out so you can monitor any new infestations. so far for about 3 months i have been bug free. got about 5 different strains to try out from seed. i wouldnt even take plants from the best grower on earth.

one more thing for preventative maintenance. develop a pms or preventative maintenance schedule. once or twice a month doing a soil drench with something. i switch off between azamax, captain jacks, and go gnats. you need to switched up your chemicals cause if you use the same thing every time they will develop a tolerance to it. i also use dr doom bombs every 2-3 months. all this is to ensure trouble for any unknown pest your have and make your conditions real shitty for any new pest making it's way inside. if they dont like your room conditions, they probably wont stay unless they land on a sticky trap.

this shit can get expensive, but if your a fuckering grower, spend some fucking money. growing pays for itself. just be sure to use safe chemicals. all the ones i've listed are very safe to humans if used as directed. the pyrethrins can be bad but should break down in several days. just dont use it before harvest. also very dangerous to cats and fish.

but one sight said if you get a certain type of nematode they will eat the aphids so maybe... but i have no expierience with them myself.
They sell them here at Marshal Grains, I used them for other plants and without a doubt they work. I am doing some other research for you now, potato slices work on the gnats for sure the adults are compelled to drop larve on the pieces so you yellow sticky the adults and change the pieces out for a few days and they are gone.

Call some of your local nurseries for them they might help you. If I find something else I will post, also 30 percent hydrogen peroxide pretty much kills everything in the root section. You get it at a hydro store and mix with water and feed.

Good article, I was unaware of the tomato leaves and the garlic but makes perfect sense. I have used garlic for other issues. You might get a good solution of garlic and water and water the plant with it. The garlic is not going to kill the plant I use it all the time and you would get it down to the roots quickly.

Best of luck , pest fucking suck period

Dont use Bayer Tree And Shrub!! Use Bayer fruit citris and vegetable! Its only a two month sestemic where tree and shrub stays in ant for a whole year!

For those that recommended Bayer Tree and Shrubs, you really gotta hit them up with a high dosage of IMID, or else, whatever aphids that survived will build an immunity to it. I've tried them with mild to low dosage, and still see them moving, and eventually stepped it up to the higher dosage of 18-20ml per gal, by then it was too late. Hit them hard with the high dosage right away, if you're anywhere after about 1-2 weeks in veg with the clones being 6 inches in height or taller, it should be strong and healthy enough to take a pretty high dosage of Bayer anyways. I made the mistake of not going strong enough and only treating some of the girls in the rooms, and ended up having to go all out and used the Bonide. Again I wasn't thorough enough with the Bonide and only used it for part of the rooms, and now I have to deal with these little fuckers again. But for what it's worth, for the girls that was flooded with Bonide showed the best results. The main ingredient is Acephate, which I believe is the same stuff found in Orthene, and it kills the aphids on contact. So for those that are dealing with it right now in veg, I'd recommend you use Acephate in veg or at very very early flower, and then use organic or natural predators throughout flowering to help keep the aphids population down to a tolerable level, or at least to help make sure they're all gone from the Acephate. I don't know how you guys grow or what mediums, but I mixed the Bonide to the recommended ratio/dosage, plugged up the drain holes in the trays, flooded the entire tray with the acephate solution and let it flood for a hour. While the tray is flooded to about half the height of the rockwool cubes, take cups and pour the solution into each cube to make sure you're flushing the solution into the cubes too. Release the drain plugs and let the solution drain out into res. Clean the res with bleach and scrub it clean, put it back and then flush the flooded girls 24 hours later or the next day with just water and hydrozyme. Keep in mind that you want to do this after the girls are not hungry, so you'd have to give them regular food and nutrients, so they eat as little of the acephate mix as possible, so I'd do it a day before you're about to do your regular res change/clean anyways. And then monitor the mediums for any survivors, I've found this stuff to kill the aphids on contact. When you go back to your regular feeding regiment, be sure to lower the PPM by a few hundred and keep using Root Excellurator as part of the regiment to help repair damaged roots.
Good luck guys

I myself acquired clones with creepy crawlers in the roockwool cubes. I was thinking about nuking them with bayer, avid, and maybe spectricide to finish em off. I thenread about the organic evergreen pyganic pyrethien, gnatrol wdg, and botanigard. Gnatrol WDG main bacteria is bacillus thuringiensis. I remember dr hesseinburgs tea had all kinds of beenies in it. I look into his recipee again and went to the mycogrow. I check out the chart of whats contained in the myco powder http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/mycogrow-soluble-1-oz.html. It contains bacillus thuringiensis. The mycogrow how ever does not contain the exact same bacteria of botanigard.

Has anyone tried dr hesseinburg or anyother tea with rootaphids?
