Who's Looking for Sex?

Has anyone ever had success in pre determining the sex of a plant by covering one leaf or branch to give the 12/12 cycle? I have read about this procedure, just wondering if anyone has actualy done it.

I have a rather large outdoor plant and I'd like to flower but a cover that big may be a little suss.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

good idea! careful with "breathing" issues. could collect alot of moisture.

I've done it thousands of times!

However, I cut the branch off first, and root it.

Haahaahaa, that took a bit to sink in, but that is funny.

I'm sure my appendage is way too large to be rooting a clone!!!

Good advice though, so I'll just clone a branch, I'll have to get it rooted b4 I can do the 12/12 though. So that make take up to 2 weeks to root and then another 2 weeks of 12/12.

What I've read about is actually doing it on the exsisting plant to one branch, then I shouldn't have to worry about the whole cloning process.

i use paper bag over a lower branch i spray it black (flat) and use a ruberband
