The choice was between a ancient left leaning Republican and a young left leaning Democrat. Both wanted massive bailouts of companies that were still going to go bankrupt regardless. Neither one was planning on keeping 1/2 of their promises.
The difference between the two is Obama supporters had him as the 2nd coming of Christ Almighty and McCain supporters knew they were just voting for the guy who was not Obama.
