Why and how did you start growing for the first time

Pain management doctors keep getting arrested, plus the government keeps tightening up laws on the pain drugs. Doctors failed me, so doing things on my own. Spent more than I wanted to, but only incidentals now like more nutrients, bulbs, 2nd vaporizer, etc. Wish had a mentor where I am, but not a legal state. Any how just growing for myself.

Well got 10,000 acres just South of Dallas tx..
My grandma was growing bud. So when I was a freshman in hs I started growing bud outdoors. However old you are in 9th grade.
Got with my ex wife that year. Moved away from home. Started growin to support habbits. And make a lil scratch on the side..
Ended up swappin home grown street price for coke. So what cost me $10 (an oz) to grow got me a 1/4 of that fish worth $350. Basically gettin amounts like that free and plugin folks in I made cartel connects
Now I do a shit ton of drugs. Ball out and a boss in the hood
As for legality. Our thuggin for one of my traps raided..couple boys got 40yr without op parole bail $550,000

Within a week of coming to this lane ass small tx town I'm in right now. I already know 4 major plugs supplying the whole city. We drink in every day poppin bars and smoking his weed.

The stuff in Istanbul not bad at all, gotta give that to it, but other cities not good mate, and especially nowadays, last years its getting even worse, i dont know why, probably they have to harvest too early to prevent getting busted, and they dont pay attention to their plants, well you cannot destroy male plants if you have 1.5 m plants in total

I'm about to start my first grow. One reasons the Ol lady and I made this decision is good weed is expensive. It adds up through the months and we actually compared it to what it costs to start a small grow and it was about the same. Once we get a harvest of our own we have no worries of ever buying it again.
I don't smoke weed. The only reason she does is because she was born with a condition that causes chronic pain. Thanks to Obamacare here in the states she was forced to go through pain management and treated as a drug addict just because she needs pain medication to manage her pain. It was a nightmare. Long story short, we left pain management and got her away from pharmaceutical meds. She started smoking weed and she couldn't be happier.

Dont smoke weed but my wife does. I'm the money maker in the family and growing is a lot cheaper. Used the money to take my family to disney world.
Recently decided growing shrooms is just as profitable but 5 times faster with less detection so my grow lights have been off lately

It's really interesting reading about what you have to say about turkey and marijuana. If you do grow best of luck to you. I'm living in a state that is very opposed. Prison is a scary thought and losing my pets is too but I'm tired of being sick and depressed. But weed is the only thing that helps me. All other prescriptions have helped a problem but created 3 other problems. Doctors are only interested in keeping Americans sick and taking their money. The weed that I get is not grown properly for medical. It's cut too early since they probably run a clone op and it sells too fast. It's also over priced for what it is. Everyone deserves medical grade. So yeah, I'm a home owner now so fuck it. I'm ready to live a life in which I can feel good and happy. Can't let the government keep me from doing that. We have lives to live too you know? but I am scared to go to prison.
I dont think theyd put you into jail because of growing 3-5 plants in home, here if you get caught while carrying less than 5 grams on you, or at home they take you to obligatory rehab programme and you have to do blood test every week at hospital, you do once more, welcome to jail. Well yes im afraid of prison too

Fast forward 11 years (mostly sober). I began buying small baggies every few weeks. Eventually gave it a few attempts at growing. After getting tired of the local guy forever being late.
I've thus far been unsuccessful at getting anything taller than 10cm. Either summer heat cooked them. I over watered. Or they got eaten... bugs the first time. Then, my dog the second time.
And now I'm looking at giving it another go. This time it'll be indoors.

My first grow exists because I'd like to find an alternative to some (or all) of my current medications revolving around anxiety and depression. I honestly haven't even smoked in about 15 years. I used to think cannabis had only one purpose, to get high, and that is how I categorized it in my head. I'd take a depakote, lamictal, wellbutrin, and seroquel daily without thinking anything of it and if I smelled pot somewhere I'd think "f'n loser pot-head" hahaha.
Obviously I don't feel that way now. I have a lovely wife, kids, house, yada yada so growing myself made the most sense especially because while I'm in a de-criminalized area, it still isn't med-legal here.
I'm simply tired of taking so many damn pills. That plus there are times when my wife and I could really use some couch lock hehe.

Well as for me, I calculated how much I was spending a well as the quality and said screw it. Built a cab, bought some seeds, and here we are a year later and on my 3rd run. Everything I've let others taste has been better than most have had in a while. Or at least on par with what's being sold.
Started when a guy at the bar played friend but ripped me on an overpriced bait and switch shit bag. A year later, a casual share of true top shelf, and same guy is begging me to hook him up. suck it bitch, that's the taste of revenge. Thank you for inspiring me though..

About 15 years ago I had an overwhelming fear that I would eventually not be able to find weed, so I popped some bag seed. Next thing I know I had 50 ssh and e32 in flower! Took about a 5-6 year break, and I'm back.

my motive was that it's cheaper to grow your own and you get higher quality then you would buying it on the street or from the local MMJ dispensary
