My issue has been not having service. We live in the country now and should be getting our internet within a month or so :)
you should thank obama and his big fat stimulus package.

it brought high speed internet to tons of rural areas.

rawn pawl would have left you high and dry. ya know, because you can set up the infrastructure for high speed internet in your area all by yourself!

There is an excess of oil on the global market and OPEC refuses to cut production to maintain a stable price.

The speculation that I have read is that they are doing this to drive oil prices below $60 a barrel and keep them there long enough to shut down shale oil fracking production in North America because it's only profitable at prices above $55 a barrel.

Again, speculation.
OPEC can still profit if oils at 10 bucks a barrel.\
They got clean oil so no refining.
And basically their doing it to punish the states, and fucking the rest as they go along
A nuke would do us all good there.

Personally I see it as economic terrorism.

But here is the thing. As soon as they *win* and prices rise back up again, fracking will start as well. So, they dont have the stranglehold on the market they once did and they can no longer set the price above a certain rate or risk losing market share and creating competition.

In the mean time we pay lower prices for gas. Win for us!!

Refining means taking oil and making it into things that people can use like gas, heating oil, etc. What comes out of the ground is a mix of stuff that needs to be separated and cleaned (thus refined). You dont just pump it from the ground into your gas tank.

Fail:Saudis can pump cheap oil rest of Opec takes a loss at under about $60 a barrel. Some lose at $90. a barrel. All oil needs refining, even Brent Light Sweet ( can replace Bunker C. out of tap tho). They are doing it in conj. with U.S. to wage econ. war against Russia, Iran, and a few others. If $4. to $1.80 is punishment I'll take another dollars worth ASAP..

Economic war is being waged by America yet again but not intentionally, just due to market forces.

It could lead to real war if Russia cannot sustain itself.

What we are doing to the world's currency is on purpose. I don't think it's malicious, I just think the Fed thinks it's the only way to prop up our false economy. They are forcing the hands of the other central banks and it's going to create a huge money bubble.

It's not going to end well.

I noticed that the ECB announced that it would start buying worthless bonds in March... How long till the bubble bursts?

I'm not saying low gas prices are a punishment, It's the job losses and projects that create jobs will either be put on hold or never started.

And saudi doesnt want to see us shale production.......

Are U saying low gas prices will Kill job creating projects??????? Prices are pumping 6 bil. a month into economy now, and the ball is just starting to roll. Saudis have had big brains working on price/supply issues for a long time, and have a strategic plan developed as fully as they are able.

No I'm saying low oil prices kill jobs.
I'm not sure where your from but where i live our economy runs with oil.

From construction to car sales it all evolves around the price of oil.

Low oil prices here mean less people are spending money to build projects. It effects almost every area of everyday life.
They are projecting here 22,000 job losses just in the drilling side of oil. and thats just the start.
