Only gets easier and you did a pretty fine job on that one!Got it from a friend. Was in horrid shape, great learning experience but quite stressful

This right here, should clarify a watt is a watt.I chose an LED bank that is rated at the same lumens output as a 300 watt incandescent light source. I chose it because it is more efficient at generating that output, while only consuming about 130 watts from the wall.
713g. I need about an oz a week so im hoping for a bigger second harvestSo what was the net weight dry and clean?
Exactly. Unless the OP is actually needing the heat, then I see little reason to use something that is less efficient. Am I missing something here? Is there something different about these blue/purple LED's that simply don't produce the required lumens? If so, then I can understand why people would shun them, or at least call out their purported luminosity rating(s).This right here, should clarify a watt is a watt.
You have a 130 watt LED, producing the same lumens as 300W of incandescent.
If you ran 300 actual watts, of those LED, you will have a comparable amount of heat, to the 300W of incandescent, only producing over double the lumens.
Nice save!Got it from a friend. Was in horrid shape, great learning experience but quite stressful
Yeah it does seem a bit silly, but when I had 2 or 3 I still worried a bit. Tbh looking at it all I really don't need 7 tents. They are only 3ft x 3ft. Kind of spreads to heat around nicely without all the heat being in one room. I have recently switched from soil to coco too and never expected such a difference in yield.Damn son worried about being busted and runs 7 tents
No you aren't, some people just don't think new technology is better. Kind of like old people saying a record has better sound qualityExactly. Unless the OP is actually needing the heat, then I see little reason to use something that is less efficient. Am I missing something here?
I plan on trying my hand at coco, but thought I should get the hang of soil first as it seems the easiest and most forgiving, not to mention the least time consumingYeah it does seem a bit silly, but when I had 2 or 3 I still worried a bit. What my original question was basically based on was,Exactly. Unless the OP is actually needing the heat, then I see little reason to use something that is less efficient. Am I missing something here?
Ah, that's cool. I understand. I guess I was referencing some of the responses you received relating to 'a watt is a watt'. Sorry if I misunderstood things. What my original question was basically based on was,
As a new grower, what made you choose blurple/led over HPS considering for the cost you can get more bang for your buck with HPS and it seems the grow style with them is much easier. (Not having to worry about supplementing IR or having to keep your grow room like a tropical jungle)?
Somewhere along the line we got a bit side tracked...
I will try.. Never used an hid. What my original question was basically based on was,

I'd like to give you a thumbs up but I can't seem to find where to do that....What my original question was basically based on was,

Holy crap there was a question here...sorry OPWhat my original question was basically based on was,

Hmm. Maybe I have a special browser because it is not there. Perhaps because I'm brand new here perhaps?like is right beside the reply button
Off one plant that's impressive man713g. I need about an oz a week so im hoping for a bigger second harvest
Whats your dollar amount you got invested in the four qbs?Holy crap there was a question here...sorry OP
When I got my first light to start growing I did not really know what I was buying, and actually I did not buy it but I selected what I wanted. I got this over MH/HPS because MH/HPS is not as efficient and takes up a whole lot more space, often requires its own vent system which is just stupid, that alone should show you how much energy you are just wasting, they often cost the same yet last nowhere near as long, 1000W MH/HPS compared to 1000W actual draw of LED is no contest, that's why people usually compare less LED watts to more HPS watts, ie 600W LED to 1000W HPS
Then i realized later that even though what i got was great, there was even better so i got some QB's
