I was just thinking, why do we humans have such developed, muscular butt cheeks? Not just a strong hindquarters like a horse or something, but fleshy, bulbous cheeks? Is it to protect our assholes? Other primates have completely exposed bung holes, in many shapes and color varieties (and I'm guessing flavors), and they seem to get by just fine. Other animals have tails to armor their assholes, that must be nice. I guess it's a result of walking so upright, we had to develop these muscles to do so. But, that's just my hypothesis, and I'm no biologist. What's your guess as to why our rumps are so rotund? I will be awarding 50 trophy points for the most colorful answer...
