Why do I need cryptocurrency to buy beans now?!?!

Seedsman has the beans I want, although they kept adding on to the price as I proceeded through checkout. That really made my gears grind! Anyway, I get to submit payment and my card is declined. Now that I think of it, I always just had beans sent to me for free from members of that "other" site, back in the day. But IIRC, you just needed a dang credit/debit card.

The breeder I'm after has a limited US distribution network, only 2 of which have the strain I'm after. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't know if it's okay to post the breeders name in this kind of post so I'll hold off for now.
