Why do we grow in buckets and limit the plants growth?

So really the only benefit would be is if I planned on growing them longer? Mind you I only got 8 feet walls in this room I might have to go to my other one which is probably 18 feet.. I'm not looking to flower more then 2 months so you don't think in any way it would benefit me? I see downsides like if i a plant is infected it can infect others with mold, or if one dies they all could, and drainage issues sounds like another.. damn I hate the more downs then up.

How many could I SQUEEZE meaning tightly in a 14x11 foot room, and I'm vegging in a walk in closest. I want to be able to get 36, or 30's at least.. I can't go any higher then 6-8 feet unless I move them to the larger room.

How much light?

How much extra heat would 4 and 6 produce, they have the duct things running on the side so I'm buying a fan to bring it outside but still?

The presentation of a garden with a large bed is more appealing than pots and trays though, for sure.
I do like the manageability of pots I can lift and individually tend.
It's also a containment thing ... should one plant herm or fall ill, I can move it into quarantine. cn

14 x 11 with 6 lights...
assuming that your door location will allow entry, would do two 12x4 gardens. 3 lights over each garden.
leave the center open (3 ft) to get in to tend the plants.
Sounds fun.

-----
x=4x4 space with 1000 watt lamp
o= 3 foot space for tending.
-= 2x8 ft space to enter the room. (assuming door is near this space)
you will want to put up "fences" around any space that you need to walk. they will keep your walkways clear.

It will create a lot of heat.
The "how much" heat, cooling power, air cool power you need all depends on your climate, insulation, and so on.

I would use the Vortex 747 cfm fan with a speedster fan speed adjustor to cool those lights. with a speed adjustor, you can have whatever you want up to 747. Also, large fans ran on a low speed are sooo much quiter than a maxed out fan. But you will probabyly be running 75-100% speed. Obviously this design is for a closed air cool circuit. (glass pane in your reflector).
Two different air cool circuits pulling from the outside that connect to the 747 Vortex with a Y piece. Hopefully your hoods have 6 or 8 inch flanges.? If they are 6, you might be able to find a 8in duct > two 6in duct (Y piece/reducer).

BTW, if you have little experience setting up and/or growing, this could be an overwhelming task. But totally possible. If you are going to go this big indoors though, you can't go cheap on some things. Fans and cooling will be one of those things.
Im working again, so not on as often. But if you have more questions, shoot.

If your buckets not big enough, get tubs.
Guys are getting giant yields in giant tubs.
I have a bunch of these totes and nothing to do with them...but this sounds perfect...I think I might try doing a few large tote grows...just gotta figure out what strains I want to keep going and which ones to cut.
