why doesnt this light work ?

hey,
Well i have purchased this cfl 42 W 6500 k, cfl from wally-world
But it doesnt work
I have also purchase a cfl the similiar shape from home depot but it didnt work either. Im screwing them in a normal twisty bulb thing.
Is it possible that both the cfls r broken?
or do these kind just not work or better yet need a special/certian screw?
Help!!

hahaha... this guy is probably right about the integra... but id suggest taking those bulbs back for different ones.

I have a feeling that the cfls your purchased are intended to be used with a shoplight that has a ballast in the fixture. That means that the light is not self-ballased the way standard home cfls are, so it won't work unless you have the appropriate shoplight fixture to go with it.

Here is an example of a cfl without a built in ballast:
