Farmers consistently produce crap that we see at the store. flavorless fruits and veggies that filled with pesticides and bred for yeild. Who wants to lower themselves to that level?

They produce what people are willing to pay for.
When you are turning over cents in your wallet, most people will be happy with crappy tomatoes over none.
Sadly this is the condition of the majority.

some people are here to scam us. if someone asks me to pay them here, that is unsolicited sales. i may want the product and it may be a good deal or the opposite could be true and often is. this goes for fb and else where unless you know you are entering a market it's a bit shady. if the advertisers have an area that is cool so i can go shop only when i want. at least riu requires advertisers and vendors to id themselves but they don't always id themselves as many here know. thanks for asking.

so it costs 4 - 7 dollars a gram of good indoor at cost. most bulk "sellers" buy at around that or about 3-6 for good out door. these people have the hook up, they are the hook up they o=go partners on a dispensary or sell for 10 a gram. next you have buyers, they buy at ten and some of them adjust price to the market so 15 a gram in California or 20 in an illegal state. that's 1 - 3 people in that chain, some circumstances in that chain have employees, trimmers gardeners, hired hands or runners. anyone of these people can inflate the price and bottom feeders get 20 grams and charge 30 or sell bunk product or just charge to much. it doesn't matter to me if you have employees who make your job easier or you got mouths to feed or a bill for a store that helps you make more money, the price is 4-7 or 3-6 , 10 , 15 -20 a gram for highgrade weed unless it's rare which is rarely and shwag is way cheaper. mids are not worth top prices but make people rich because they sell it for a little less than chronic and it looks like it and gets infrequent smokers high.

Here in Colorado, dispensaries are often selling for $5 a gram.

In spite of all the regulations artificially holding the price up, it's becoming less expensive over time.

This process will continue and I think we'll be seeing wholesale cost falling below $1 a gram soon.

compare that 5$ gram with the top 20 strains you've smoked. i bet it doesn't come close. i get for 10 a gram an oz or a half at a time otherwise it's 15 but 1 out of 5 shops carry weed that easily matches my top 50. the other 4 clubs sell those 5$ grams for 4-15$

there are so many growers who are just in the business that flood the market with mids that it destabilizes the price of true fire. with medicinal esp and more so with legal.

Dispensary product quality varies widely but I've seen some awfully nice bud coming from some of them here. Considering how much time they've had to perfect their trade, it should not come as a surprise that they can produce good quality product at scale.

i mean so how can the better craft cannabis compete if only rich people who scale up grow ok pot and people buy it. i know they buy it here too. it's mostly weekend smokers who used to pay 20 for good pot, think they are getting a good deal because it says it's the latest strain and costs so much less. this is the clientèle along with patients willing to over pay so they can get quality but price hardly indicates quality in this market. there are a few old school buyers and headucated folks that shop but most heads have a privet hook up so there are proly one in six shops that truly respect their clients.

Here in my neck of the woods (west side Oregon) guys are lucky if they get better than 1 bill for an ounce. Legalization sure did cause the price to drop.

Many illicit growers oppose legal homegrow. They oppose legal dispensaries if they can't sell to them. I guess they see it as competition.

So they lash out at times and say stupid shit. Stupid gets people trying to legalize cannabis angry. Stuff happens I guess.

My state is shady, and its wrong for states to allow big operations when im a felon for a single plant. Thats bs. I cant even get a med card with a major pain issue. Its even worse when legal states send the pesticide ridden weed here for bargain basement prices.

Its not about being illicit, its about putting out great organic, pesticide free weed. But its tough to market it as suck in a market where the sellers make all the money and dont give a fuck.
