The roots have grown to the point it can take more water in. All good signs of a healty environment. Water it with the same amount each time if possible. It may be time to give it a bigger drink.
Give it water every three days and it will be fine. It can get to the point it wants wat er every two days or so if the soil has too much sand it it and it's draining quick but that usually only happens when the plant is in the dirt not in a pot or bucket.
Lay down some mulch. Preferably alfalfa hay. That will help keep the root zone cool and happy in the heat. To me she looks like she could use a bigger pot but mulch at the very least.
