Why is ph changing? DWC cloner

So I built a DWC cloner and I'm already seeing roots form after the 2nd day. It looks like it's working great, but every day I have to ph the water back down to 5.8 from 7. Why does it keep going up to 7?

I'm using rockwool to hold the cuttings, and I didn't soak it because it's just holding them in there. Could it be maybe because the water is hitting the cubes and then draining back down, which is slowly changing the ph back up to 7?

What else could be making my water change ph every day?

Could it possibly be that the nutrients I added are evaporating? I added 1/2 strength nutrients and superthrive to it originally. It's been two days since I filled her up and did the mix.

yes what kind of water R U using?

anything besides tap most likely has a shitty PPM and therefore your PH is unmanageable

calmag, dolomite, any of those stone buffers will trap that PH in a cage

I let the tap water sit out for 24 hours before I used it.

Would you explain further what you mean by stone buffers, and how I would use them to make a steady ph level?

minerals, or, STONES in tap water make it harder to change the PH. boiled or water that has been sitting a few days should be about PH 7 unless u have really shitty tap water.

check the PH of the water before adding anything then check the PH after adding nutes.

Well as I say I did let it sit for 24 hours, and it was around 7ph before I added nutes. I then add nutes and Superthrive, and some ph up to get it around 5.8-6.0. When I looked at it this morning it was at 7, and I added some ph down to make it 5.9 again. I also noticed that my water looked a bit murky. Is this normal for highly oxygenated water with nutes and superthrive in it? No light is getting to my water because it's a black bucket with black lid, not unless light is going through the rockwool cubes, doubt it.

So what now?

maybe its so buffered that u cant get it below 7. in which case, add more PH down. maybe some1 else has a better way
