Why is stretching not good. Why is it bad if there is more space in between nodes?

indoor lighting the light gets weaker further away from the bulb so long plants mean that bottom leaves don't get much light and the plant is putting energy in to growing up to reach the light instead of bulking up,

HA AN ANSWER I KNO! well if ur plant stretches thats less nods. if u notice in ur grow, the stems or leaves start to fall off up to like the 10nod or something like that. so the more nods the better. and if u have closer nods, u have more nods then you would if its stretchd, giving u more pre branches that will fully develop.

stretching is bad for two reasons, stretching will only happen indoors unless you plant your plants in a cave or under your house... anyway, indoors meens artificial light, and limited space. you want your plants short cuz they WILL grow like MAD in flower. and you will need to have as much light as possible on all parts of the plants. stretching makes this harder. i tried to clone some stretched plants. the stems were kinda hollow.. and the clones died. but it was my first cloning experiment tryin to fix the stretching by cloning the new parts, that came after i got better lights.

stretchin means less nodes, budskies grow on the nodes, more nodes = more buds,
stretching is also stress related, stess makes hermies and females, obv no good

Ok so explain why plants won't stretch when under a house or in a cave, that doesn't even make sense. It all depends on how close the light is to the plant and the intesity of the light. You think your clones died because the stems were stretched how about because you never did it before!

if you grow in a cave or under the house the plants wont even grow because it is dark. I think that is what he meant. Ery was not trying to sound like some hotshot ganjababy. He did not even say that stretching was the sole reason his plants died. He even said "BUT it was my first time" and that shows that he was throwing that out there as a possibility of his loss.
