thc serves mny purposes to the plant... first it protects the seeds from the sun... the trichombs catch male pollin.. the marijuana plant has its own defense mechenissms... the older a cannabiss plant gets it grows these tinny lil fibres that irritate the throat of deer/rabbits... its a hardy ass plant
