Why is the stem so red on my 5 day old seedling? *pics*

Hi there, this is my seedling she's 5 days old (sprouted on the 16th).



Notice the redness of the stem, what's up with that?

ps: she stretched on the 17th and 18th because of insufficient light, but I buried her up to the first node and gave her two strong lights and her leaves have been growing nicely.

my stems look the same but they are purple and it is about 2" taller

It's normal, natural, no need to freak.

Cool, I wasn't freaking out or anything I was just like hrm... why aren't you green.
How's she looking, healthy?

It happens often. It's just plant genetics.

This has just put my mind at rest thanks and sorry for resurrecting an old post but im new around here (and managed to use the search button )
