not really i flowered my plants lemon skunk from ghs after 16 days it had 4 sets and was 5 inches tall under 6 warm white cfl in a 1m x 1m x 1.5m space i yeilded 4 3/4 ounces dry . flowered after 16 days from se3d till day 74 download marijuana buds for less how to grow eight onces for under $100 pdf book really helps.

I bought the "buds for less" book. and it states..(this is for CFL) that CFL cant emit enough light to keep a large plant healthy. so it says to put the seedling under 24/0 for 16days and then force flower. says the plant will quarduple in size and you can get 1 bud up to 15grams in size!
I vegged my first grow for 6weeks. it grew about 2ft tall. all the buds came out very popcorny and fluffy.. off the whole plant I got about 7grams.
so now Im trying what this book says to do....
the book states when using cfl, its better to ave a smaller plant so the whole plant can absorb light. rather than the plant growing taller and the cfls not producing enough light to some of the branches.

How long did it take you to grow those plants on 12/12 from the very beginning?i put mine on 12-12 from seed and this is what i get....2-7 oz dry per plant

I do the same,but its normally a 90 day cycle,plus it saves money on energy,i could veg 3 plants 18/6 for a month or i could start 12/12 from seed with 9-12 plants,
it also helps when trying to have a different variety of smokes and works great with small spaces.

Hey guys, I have a question. I have always done the early flowering to sex my plants. I always did it when they got their first sets of leaves, and were justy big enough to tell what kind of plants they are. As early as 5" inches tall a couple times. Here is my question. I was reading a old High Times, and in the Jorges RX section(Where readers write in and ask questions). A guy was asking about sexing his true F1 seeded plants. Jorge Cervantes replied that When a F1 plant is switched to the flowering cycle, then reverted back to veg, it loses genetic integrity, and potency. Basically making it not F1 quality anymore. I have done this on almost all my mother plants, and have noticed the second flowering to not be as good as the first. So if you force it, just long enough to be able to tell it's a female, then switch it back to veg, will it still not be as good ? If changing it at all weakens it, how can you tell it's a female, if you never let it flower ? I have always grown just out of seed stock from some I had. My plan is to get some good stock soon, and I cant afford a trip to Canada every year. So I want to keep them going as long as possible. I'm thinking of one Indica, one sativa, and one hybrid of the two. I'm looking at Cheese, Durbin Poison, and probably some haze variety(Ghost Train Haze maybe).

n00b question..If that's so, then why are some poeple pulling an ounce or better of the bean they start on 12/12??? I'm on 18/6 myself but was wonderin...
