why so much purple?

I get high off of two hits of everything I grow.
I ain't had any a that in about 30 years now. That includes the last
5 years back on the stuff (buying at a store only) and about 25 years off.
Smooth tasting too, isn't it? Not harsh, no lung-expansion coughing or none a that shit, right?

You don't want it to expand in your lungs? For real? That's the first thing I look for in a strain.

Something's about to expand in my lungs right Meow, :weed:

Haven't grown too much purple. The best purp I have smoked has been green phenos of GDP and purple Passion.

The green GDPs (above) yielded fr better and we're far more psychoactive. The purple had golf balls, the greens had arms.

Grew some purple Laos a few years ago and compared to the green phenos it was borderline CBD in hit.

And then there are those that post photographs that are clearly post process editing. Extreme color shift when editing is so blatantly obvious, yet some continue to enhance the colors regardless, thinking nobody knows. If you are growing good weed to which you are proud, don't fake it with your pics.

You mean expand to where you cough until your face turns purple and your head explodes?
I've had smoke that you'd smoke a couple hits, no expansion, nothing, and then have two more hits
cause it's so smoooooth, and then, oops, it was too easy, you got too high. That's what i'm talkin' about.
Plus my wife has serious COPD. So it always has to expand in lungs or it's no good nowadays? I dunno,
really. All I know is the last 5 years we've been doing it, is it's harsh as hell, and no-high, pretty much.

I see some of my Thai landrace plants are turning purple this year. I thought it might be due to the 15°C + temp difference from day to night.

Does she still smoke flower with serious COPD? I’m sorry she has to live with that! I just lost a loved one 2 days ago because of that COPD.

Oh wow, michojay, my sincerest condolences to you.

Yes she does still smoke and cough and .. that's why
i am trying to figure out sublingual tincture for her.
Stubborn as hell, so that sublingual really has to work
just so for her. She won't do edibles, and is getting to
where she can't smoke, but doesn't want to be high for
8 hours so somehow i'm trying to figure out how to get
a tincture to work for her. There are a couple members
here who have been trying to help me with tinctures. So
i'm going to have to figure out how to make them myself.

The ones I buy (i've purchased 5 different tinctures), do
not work at all, at least for me. She won't try them until I
do and then recommend one, and so far they're all no-high.
I am her guinea pig basically.

Did your loved one smoke or do sublingual or edibles or what?
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you for sharing with me.

If you have something to say just come out and say it. Don't hide.

If you're referring to me you are way off base. I have no interest in wasting my time editing a photo. It has no value to me. I'm not some chucker trying to sell seeds on Instagram doing some photo editing to make their $30 a seed chuck look more appealing.

I was surprised at how purple this weed was which is why I took a photo of it with other items for contrast. If you believe I edited the photo don't stop. It doesn't matter.

I've don't remember ever smoking purple weed so it's a little disheartening seeing 90% of comments are not positive about it. I have been hanging out for this girl to finish but maybe not going to be all that good from the sounds of things. Will need to report back what it smokes like if it ever gets to finish up.

Anthocyanins is why. As far as their popularity goes they’re pretty but I’ve found most don’t hold up next to green, couldn’t say why. This blackstrap was tasty, but the potency was meh87075C9F-3506-40DB-BCCB-501023BEF2BF.jpeg

I agree. This is an F3 of a PCK/Durbancross I worked. I started with the green pheno but the purple showed back up. The F3 was really good weed but subsequent generations that had less purple were /are better. At F7 I had the structure from the PCK I wanted and the quality of the green PCK pheno.

Here's the F3. It's a damn good purple weed. Probably 20-23% THC. Not overwhelming but not underwhelming. It's good weed but the F7 all green is much better. Took a while to get the color out. It kept showing up.

It's no longer on the description but this used to be on the ACE website.

"Green PCK: It produces the best yielding and most powerful offspring among all the PCK lines"

I said exactly what I wanted to say; there is no hiding. It's not about you and nobody in particular; I don't attack people and don't see the point. It's just an observation in-general about a large number of photographs posted. Many edit their photos to enhance the colors and usually it's glaring and obvious.

Thanks. All we do is roll and smoke joints, no vaping, except for a disposable vape
pen we bought a few months ago that is so-so. And I'll have to google convection vape.
Ok, it's like a convection oven, hot air, not hot element. I bought an airizer vape unit
about 5 years ago, tried it once, cleaned it and repackaged it. I posted about it in here
somewhere, with a pic.

I know that nobody in this board is too worried about the smell of cannabis. But I am. There's
a social/legal stigma attached to it's useage that I want to avoid like the plague. People keep
saying that a little smell isn't bad, but I say NO SMELL is the only way I want to do it. We go
outside to smoke our joints, which is scary enough for me. But we never smoke inside. It's enough
that I open those jars of dispo nugs and roll them. I keep everything neat, tidy, packaged, and
super clean and contained, to minimize the smell inside the house. That's just me, I dunno what else to tell ya.
