Why so sleepy?

I envy y’all mfs with local hydro stores. I pay $30 1.5cu/ft bag of roots organic on Amazon :/

Over watered, root bound possibly. I transplant autos once they’ve got one set of true leaves, heard they can be triggered into early maturation by getting rootbound not sure if it’s bs or not but I figure even if it is ain’t gonna hurt em.
Don't be so envious...Hydro stores are a great way to separate a fool from his money. While I'll check price-points, in general it costs WAY more to buy the same product at a hydro place vs. another place that carries stuff for general gardening purposes.

My tact on the up-potting is not to wait for root compaction but I want enough root structure that when I pull the plant out the soil/root mass stays intact.

This is good enough for my purposes. I know there's a debate as to whether advanced/root-bound is better than 'available substrate space' or not.

depends on the soil, the containers size and material. 3gal and under in fabric pots I water daily from the start of flower usually, eod for most of veg.
Lots of depends lol there's alot of different variables in everyone's grow. What I was trying to tell them is that if properly transplanted to a larger size pot, soil such as FFOF shouldn't need to be watered daily at all. Small containers will def need more frequent watering if left in it for long periods. Obviously Coco and Promix etc can be every day or multiple times a day. But not soil. If you want proof, look at the people who attack my comments on this threads grow journals, their plants are burnt to a crisp lmao.

I grow in soil, small fabric pots have required daily watering weather it was miracle gro, roots or coast of Maine. Ain’t nothing of mine burnt. And I’m not doubting your experience I’m just guessing your used to larger containers. 38EAF5D8-3767-448A-8635-20C9CEA5023A.jpegE9DDC225-9FFC-4AA1-83DA-7A130664E1ED.jpeg7D6B6EFB-7D7C-4B1A-996C-E6F953FE8905.jpeg
