Why so small

OK so this ain't my first grow. But my 3rd using the Mars hydro leds.. First grow was bout double the size. 2nd grow was better. This grow was topped and buds are so much fatter just wondering why so small. My guess is mars hydro 240s ain't good enough to flower?? Biobizz soil and nutes. Only thing I used different this time was molasses and better airflow

LED's cause short plants due to intensity
You could do with more VEG time
Buy a 315 watt CMH and fill that space
 
Yeah it's gorilla zkittlez strain. Never done it before My second grow was critical kush using same lights were not topped and grew a lot bigger.

Need atleast those 2 lights on 1 small plant, i have the double panel and pull average 4 oz

Yeah I will defo be upgrading next time. have done more than a few ounce off these lights a few times tho. This pic now was my first grow using leds last year

I'm gonna agree with dumbguyneedshelp and say it's strain related.

Longer veg= bigger plants.

Some hybrids require minimal veg because they super stretch after flip.

More indica dominant strains however require longer veg as they have little to no vertical growth after flip.

Girls are looking good either way!
 
They look good to me. Topping will slow growth as it recovers and it increases lateral branching which will cause more bud sites and less stretch overall. Shorter is better IMO. All that matters is quality and final weight.

Ah OK thank you that makes sense. this was my first time topping. Definately think it was the right way to go and so many more big colas instead of one. Hopefully be a nice little harvest in a couple more weeks
