Hahaha, it wasn't so much as a 'response' to you, as it was building on what you said.

I'm a classically trained French cook (which basically means I try to put as much butter as I can in EVERYTHING lol), and I'm doing the pastry chef course next year to become more well rounded.

I read somewhere that salted butter is better for making cannabutter because cannaboids and thc molecules bond to it better during the separation (boiling) process. So using unsalted butter might bet better for taste but potency is affected.

Why would thc bind better to salted butter?
Would butter that already has something dissolved into it not be less likely to dissolve another substance ?

I don't know. I just recall reading that... and if it's bad information then it wouldn't be the first time the Webbernet fooled me. Have to say though, the author seemed to know what he was talking about it. Or at least his fancy chemistry talk gave that impression...lol
