Why wont seeds germinate ?

So, I still live with my parents, hence I can't buy seeds online, I've tried to plant bag seeds but without success.I've tried to put them in a cup of water or with wet cotton etc..and some of them have cracked but they never rise once I put them in soil. I am just trying to grow some ghetto herb, I'll have serious growing when I'll move out...anyway I don't get it, why don't they germinate..My only success was from some seeds that "would work"...I got them from a friend..one of them did actually grow a bit, but than died after the first 2 leaves (I probably overwatered it)... Can anyone give me a hint on actually growing some bud ??

Soak new seed in Kitchen paper above and below , keep the paper saturated in water , spray or mist often ,
Keep them in a dark, warm place , airing cupboard works for me,
Don't rush them , check them daily, do not touch with your hands at all , use tweezers and be gentle,
Do not pot them onto soil until the roots have extended , i norm wait until a inch long.

Pick n mix seedbank,

Bigg buddha seeds, always post discreetly , no sign of what the delivery is and very well protected, if your so worried get a different postal address , i would say there is a higher risk telling all on the internet , but that's not bothering you , and nor should it,
give it some thought umbre,

Nobody will reply to "help me grow bud" to large a question covering to much ground, plenty of grow guides available online and @riu , do some research , if you do not you can hardly complain at your results.

You think the seeds will grow one inch roots in kitchen paper, This happens with beans, I've done that in kindergarden but I don't think marijuana seeds will do...

this is what i did this time, soak seeds in a cup of water for 6 hours , get a nice chunk of kitchen roll/paper put on a dinner plate, wet it ,put the seeds on, put another chunck of kitchen roll on top,wet it , cover with a bowl. leave in a warm place for 24 hours and check it , if it hasn't cracked ,wet it more if you need to and leave it for another 12 - 24 hours.Once the little root is out,get your pot with your soil in it and give the soil a good watering, make a little hole 1 -2 cm deep and place the seed in it root down, cover it with soil ,not to loose but not to tight.Leave under a cfl for a few days.voila...don't water again until the soil is dry on the top and the pot feels lighter...you want those roots going in search of water like they do in nature, letting your soil dry a good bit is how you establish strong roots, too much water can rot the roots, will stop the roots getting oxygen and will stop them from growing to fast because they don't need to go and find the water

@ Clonex I put them into soil after they crack as not to waste any of the energy spent by the seed. I totally agree with you on the information on this site I have found this very helpful and informative.
I can say that if the Bag Seeds your using are not mature or are cracked in any way there useless if they have been stored the wrong way can also affect how they will germinate I have had seeds take a week to crack so be patient "all good things come to those who wait".
I personally use a ziplock bag and towels but i also rub the outside of the seeds with ultrafine sandpaper and have a 90% germination rate (when i say rub i mean a few scratches on the surface of the seed to help it take up water).
After the seeds sprout i only mist them till the soil is totally dry to touch then I water over watering will kill your babies very quick.

Good luck

Frig

I find that putting them in soil before a inch long root leaves them open to "Drooping off",
since i have done it this way , no issues at all.
Maybe it worked for you but scratching your seed surface , is in my book a risk not worth taking,
seeds don't struggle to take in moisture imo.

Thanks bro I had not used it till a friend showed me that it would change my germination rate now out of 7 seeds germinated i get 6 or 7 seedlings where before i would germ 10 to 15 seeds for 5 to 6 good looking seedlings. I know it takes a risk but i only scratch i dont actually sand anything off i rub the seed across it twice and look to see scratches. then in the towel and bag they go. I also never touch the seeds once there cracked. found it kills plants to touch them.
