Hi Rasta,

I am using this method next grow, I bought the compost, two five gallon buckets for 5 bucks

BLACK TEA COMPOST
This is our top of the line Class 1 Compost that is rich in water absorbing organic matter, while being low in salts. We also formulate this compost to have a neutral/low PH to help counteract and remediate Colorado’s high alkaline soils. With these natural advantages, this Black Tea Compost helps in with seed germination when used as topdressing. We make this special compost by combining enzyme rich animal feed, baby poultry bird bedding, and high-quality horse bedding that contains flailed wood shavings, alfalfa, and straw. After all these ingredients have been mixed, composted, and cured we end up with premium compost diverse in healthy micro-live.

I have a question however, are those plants sitting right on concrete floor? I heard thats not good.

If you wanna follow my method then check out my guide on organic growing. It's a good beginner's method. Especially if you're breaking in fresh soil. The tea recipes and heavy leaning on compost and castings in the soil make sure your plants stay healthy while all the organic matter in your soil breaks down. Then by the time youve reused your soil a few times you won't need em at all. and it's simple and easy to customize.

As far as the concrete goes...if you're not a room environment controlling wizard like me...I wouldn't recommend it. Lol.

I don't like dealing with drip pans, so installed a drain into my floor that all my runoff water flows into. There's a natural dip in my floor and I installed the drain right at the end of it so water naturally flows to it. And my basement doesn't have the tallest ceilings so I don't like having the plants raised on a platform, I would lose precious height. I have two small floor heaters that are hooked up to a temp monitor and kick on if the floor gets too cold when the lights kick off. But when the lights are on I like the concrete it helps keep the root zone cool.

I'm not sure that's the same as a biological assessment tho. I try to do everything I can to get the soil biology popping! I can't remember if I talk about it in the video (pretty sure I don't) but I also add a home made lactobacillus and BIM.

Hi all, maybe someone can chime in, but I also make my own lactobacillus, I think it would kill off any beneficial bacteria? I use it at one table spoon per gal of dechlorinated water in my bucket cloner, But I never add it to my organic grow, (I know this stuff will even kill staph spores and anthraces) I make my lacto with rice starch and milk. pretty sure it's almost the same as hygrozime.
