Why you have no crystals?

Hey everyone, I am about to start my CFL grow (280 actual watts, 1200 equiv) for one blue dream clone. I have done a TON of research and learned so much on this forum. But I feel like most of the learning I have done on soil, nutes, lights, flushing, spectrums and everything, tells me how to produce the most bud. I feel that I have all that down, but now my question is as follows.

How do I get really crystalized buds?

These are BOTH Blue dream, the first looks dank, the second looks like God's vagina. That is what I want. So how do I bring out the color? Temp? And I feel that watering with molasses further down the plants life can't make the difference shown below.. What am I missing? :weed:

Resin content is genetic. No? Outside of that, handle the plants gently, store in glass.

People say cooler temps bring out the blues. I guess resin might be a little more visible resting on hues of blue, rather than green. haven't really looked at that before.

I think he means after you harvest, be gentle trimming and curing the buds and you will lose less THC content.

To answer your question, color and trichome production depends on the phenotype of the plant. Every strain has different phenos that's why when you find one you like, clone it and keep growing it. With hybrids like blue dream there can be hundreds of different phenotypes.

Proper light and environment also plays a huge role in trichome production. The more light the better :) But too much light (heat) can be a bad thing.

From my experience with blueberry, I've only had one truly blue plant out of about 10 seeds. The purple/blue hues won't show themselves until the final weeks of the flower cycle. You will usually notice a dark redness/purple color in the stems before it reaches the buds.

Awesome thanks!

Have you sprayed with any kind of sulfer or fungicide ? This has been known to burn the crystals off the leaves and your buds. Also You need to add a pk booster such as snow storm by humboldt or beastie blooms by fox farm... Also there are some less expensive ones that work just as well by Earth juice called bloom master. Try any of these and you will have nice frosty buds and leaves in no time!! It will look like someone threw sugar on your plants .

Some say that lowering the temps 10-15 degrees in the final week will bring more color into the flowers but I think its a myth. It will only shock the plant and decrease thc production.
