wierd pseudo hermie thing....

I just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this. I had one branch on my huge female go totally male. ...just the one branch I've been over the entire plant with a fine tooth comb and not a single other sign of male parts anywhere. So I removed the one branch (this was about 1 1/2 weeks ago) and I don't see any other signs of hermie behavior to this day. Has anyone else ever had this? Just one branch went completely male, the rest of the plant is a completely healthy female with no hermie signs at all...

A buddy of mine told me about something like this, but i couldnt believe it;
Maybe its just genetics or something very wierd? iunno:hump:

any light leaks? could explain why it went hermi. and if it just hit a certain branch it could only caused it to go herm, maybe..

i had a hermi from light leaks. i sold my friend a quarter from it and he said he found like 3 seeds in his bag. but most of the other had a fair amount of seed in it. the seeds also seem to be feminized. i started 10 seeds from that plant in this grow and 10/10 are fems with another fem sativa i got growing with em. only had one male at all. it was sativa as well, and it was outside most of its life, before it met the axe.

Well I believe the bag seed I used was the result of some sort of odd hermie too, so I suppose the genetics are a possibility, I had nearly 3 ounces of the stuff, and found maybe 5 seeds in the entire bunch.
So I guess it could just be a weird genetic thing.

If that's the case though I could almost consider this positive as it's some really sweet sativa and having them all come out like this in a easily controlled method would actually be a positive for me. Since I don't want to order my seeds...

And there was a tiny light leak early on though this particular branch would have been on the back side of the plant from the direction the light leak was coming in from.

I also just had another thought, seems kind of unlikely, but I have heard that certain amphibians will spontaneously change sex in a single sex envoirment to make reproduction possible.
This is a single plant by itself...

Hi, i just wanted to ask if anyone can tell me if my plant is a hermi before i kill it...its realy healthy tho, and this is my first grow.

thanks.
