Will a bigger hood increase my yield?

Hi, I've been using a 1000w hps light with a small hood and was wondering if upgrading my hood would make a big impact on my yield. What do you think?

nah i it will save you having to rotate you plants but i dont think you will yield a whole lot more

It may , Maybe not for 1 plant but overall , you may be able to get 1 or 2 more plants under it..
And get it closer while still covering a good area , the lower you bring it down with a smaller hood
the smaller the light foot print gets. Hope it works , for as I too will be upgrading my hood....

I use the 4 ft parabolic.....insted of the 4x4 area that the square hoods covers... I can go with a 5x5 or 6x6 area of coverage = more plants under the light= more yield.... a 6x6 tent and a 1000 watt mh produces 4 nice 8 oz plants with the right strain
