will a cfl burn a shoestring?

i need to know if a 42 watt cfl will burn a shoestring? and if it will how can i mount it horizontally because its on a regular lamp thingy. thanx in advance guys

Yeah make sure you keep a fan on it. For safety reasons you don't want anything touching the bulb... including something like a shoelace that can catch on fire.

use a splitter, they are at least at an angle then plus theres 2

Well in my grow journal i have a surge protector hanging down with plugin light sockets. You can get everything you need at walmart.
