Will America Default?

Will the US gov allow a default?
Vote on the poll and tell us why or why not.

The poll is not public, you can vote freely without peers seeing your vote.

If the current policies spending, unfair Chinese trade, and off shoring of jobs continues we will of course
default eventually. The solution may be printing trillions of dollars and devaluing our currency
down to something like the peso.

Of course the government isn't going to default. This isn't even a serious question.

Please - I dont give a rats ass about either party.
I would like to point out a few things and then say my part.

This year the Bush era Tax cuts ended. The The Feds got around $650 billion in new revenue. The Republicans are asking for "spending cuts and not any more taxes" Because in theory we are paying more in taxes this year, from last year. Call it what you will, we all are paying more.
The Democratic party just wants to raise the limit w/o any changes to the policy.

Shutting it all down is about the only way the Republican party can get their voice heard. (for better or worse, this is the WAY THE SYSTEM was made. Just for times like this)

I personally think just adding more and more debt w/o cutting spending is a dumb idea.
I might not like the way we are all going about it. But this is the way it was made, so I will deal with it and stop bitching.
Our system is like a credit card, we need to pay it some day.

I vote no. Brinksmanship not suicide.

This is a serious question, there is a chance the pubs wont allow funding this time and the second term/last term Pres Obamanation will allow a default to happen.

Not that a default will do much except harm the common folk, but the question is serious and remains.

No, there's no chance. Anyone who says there's a chance doesn't understand American politics at all. The government has been shut down 18 times in the past (primarily by Democrats); the government has never defaulted. The shutdown and the debt ceiling are disconnected issues.

The government won't default. Period. Boehner has already publicly said that he would bring the debt ceiling to a vote in the house even if a majority of Republicans weren't going to vote for it, and in that event it will certainly pass. The attempts to get additional spending cuts before they actually have that vote don't need to succeed for the vote to come. The chance is 100%.

Your government defaulted in 1979. Learn your civics. It cost a great deal of money then and will be catastrophic today. I hope you do default. Your streets will erupt in violence and your police machine will corral you into the cages they have built for you and millions of white devils will die. The world will recover and take a huge step towards browning out the planet.

The US defaulted on 120 million dollars worth of securities that matured in April and May. This is fact and you are the only person in the world who does not know this. How sad it must be to not know about your own country.
