Will higher fan speed help with heat?

My temps are higher then usually the past few days, would increasing my speed from the usually medium up to high speed help with the heat? The fan is oscillating directly on and right above the crop. I figure it would work because it would blow and dissipate the heat and also further circulate the air within the room.

Also for the time being this is the only fan my room (12x14x14) and I have 2 quite big passive intake openings, on door that is ajar and a window further up

Anyone? Just need to know if I increase my fan speed from medium to high will it help decrease the heat? Even a little, or help or best.

You need an exhaust to really see a significant temp change. Grab a box fan if possible and have it blowing air out the window. Theyre $10-$15 at walmart or other cheap stores.

Unless the air is cooler than inside then have it either blowing in through the window or out through the door.

No matter how high you put your other fan if theres no big air exchange then there wont be much temp change.

hope this helps. What are your avg temps?

Temps are peaking at 90f. We been having a heat wave here for 2 days and will last for around 4. Usually my temps are in check around 65-78.
Getting another fan right now is not an option, not for another week atleast. But my temps are kinda high now. I def do not want to move the fan by the passive in/outtakes, because I don't want to lleave my little plants (2 1/2 week old) without a fan on and around them and below the light. See my dilemma? I'm not too much worried though as this is only temporary, but turning up the speed should help some... right?

Yeah itll hellp. Maybe switch out to a cfl system if you have it lyin around from an old grow? or a smaller lighting system?

less watts = less heat.

No, put it on low, that will get it out faster. Why don't you try it and find out? I don't understand these questions on here like this one...do you really need someone elses approval before you turn your fan up? Really?

In reality you are just going to be moving hot air around more efficiently. The way to deal with heat is the find the source, and mainline the air from that source out of your room. Exhaust fans with duct work and a closed hood (glass lens) usually does the trick.
