Will it autoflower?

Hey.

my strain is: Nirvana Northern lights autoflower.
It is 6 weeks old, give/take a day or two.

my plant has preflowers everywhere apart from on the stem on the first 3 nodes.

these preflowers started to apear two weeks ago, and some are starting to turn brown ( maybe dying, not to sure )

I am on a constant 18/6 light cycle. Under a S.A.D light with two 60W bulbs.

My question is, should the plant of started to flower by now? all i see is white hairs.

I ask because i have read some of Nirvana's northern light seeds don't autoflower.

( Also the plant seems to have stopped growing in height for the last 3 days, if this helps to tell if its gonna start to flower soon.)

How long should i give my plant to start flowering, or should i flip 12/12?

At almost 7 weeks you should definitely flip to 12/12. I think i might have heard about this strain not auto'ing properly.

I have one growing now that wouldn't flower until she was put under 12/12. She started to produce buds under 18/6 but then stalled for a month until 12/12. I would try 48hrs of complete dark first and see if that gets her going

Autos tend to be flaky. Because they can't be cloned, the breeders can't back cross making it difficult to stabilize the strain.

if tis an autoflower the light cycle dosent matter it is preprogrammed to flower at a given length of time.

Not all autoflowers actually auto by themselves tho. Sometimes breeders are a little money hungry and put the product out before its fully auto stable. Happens with quite a few strains actually. Flowering can be induced by triggering 12/12. But yea, the darkness might help as well

sometimes you will have to flip the lights and help it out... if you flip the lights it should start to flower... just remember these were ment to be auto flowering under 18/6 so you probably wont get as big of a yield as you were expecting.

Nirvana has had well documented problems with their autos not autoflowering. Listen to everyone who's chimed in and switch to 12/12 it will flower for you. They pulled a lot of their auto strains from the shelves a while back. Sorry bout your luck man.
