It seems to be something that sorta ....jumps off the page ,every time I read an article lately pertaining to the mmpr.
How this producer or that producer has 7000kg's of excess produced cannabis, in storage.
To me ...that's seems like an unreal amount to store ...though I do believe that is their numbers...
I have also read that health Canada did not give any guidelines on when mmj would be considered
no longer fresh....so no expiry type of process...
So effectively it would never become stale and would be a salable product regardless of the fact that its medicine as well as a food for some.
I'm sure they(lp's) would not be fool hardy enough to try and sell 3 year old mmj as usable medicine (smoking or vaping form) but more likely as oinment or oils, tinctures...
However...I do not see any type of guarantee, that the mmj they ship is fresh.
With their current market and the huge stockpiles...would they ever have fresh product...and even with selling to the rec market....who would want 3 or 4 year old buds for a huge prices...at the LCBO.
This sort of thing brings up so many questions...and many of those questions end at leaving the quality control decisions in the LP's lap, and we all know that they will always have their decisions swayed by their bottom line.
What questions does the stock piling of lp product...create for you?
